Rogers cried out for further support in his first time here, and has made it clear this time that much more financial support is needed to maintain success, and evolve! They'll also have best part of another 60 million from CL money in the new CL format. There will be no excuse this time around for Lawell and Desmond. None! Try being realistic and shifting criticism in the right direction! In the path of the board who would not, incidentally, show more more ambition when Ange asked for additional support for Europe. That is why Ange left so soon, even though they offered him a massive wage to stay; he knew Desmond and Lawell lacked ambition, and that they were there for one core purpose: to boost shareholding. Agreed PL and DD are the biggest problem at Celtic. Btw I do think Rodgers is the best man for the job. But we’ve been rightly criticised for drab football for large parts of the season.

Mega funds would make no difference. The best players will never choose Celtic. The model has to be picking up good young players (the carrot being playing in the CL), developing them for a couple of seasons and then making a good profit on their sale. We should aim to be an Ajax. Capable of competing well in the CL group stages and getting to the next level on a regular basis.

So mostly we can beat the rest without being stretched that much. The minute we go into Europe we find it challenging af.
