Actually the MV has korean traditional symbolisms and dances. It kind of was a response to haters saying they were westernized... embracing their culture and being proud to show it! The song is part of their album trilogy « Love Yourself ». LY: Her = falling in love, happy love (the title song is DNA) LY: Tear = realizing you are not yourself with that person (the title song is Fake love) LY: Answer = deciding to love yourself first, before anyone else (The title song is Idol) So the song is about them embracing being kpop idols, even with the criticism it comes with, like not being real artists, having random and colorful videos, having too many members. They took those stereotypes and said hell yeah, look how far we can push lt 👌

If you like Suga's rap, I definitely recommend the song from his mixtape 'The Last.' It's a song which touches on his social anxiety and depression, considered a taboo subject in Korea. I also recommend the song 'I NEED U (original version).' The music video is very raw and powerful and much darker than any other BTS music video, and the song is catchy af.

KZfaq just recommended this video to me, so I don't know if you like rap or not. But since Suga is "a little more equal" you might want to check out the BTS Cyphers (there are 4) with the 3 rappers. Then you can actually all of them straight up rapping. I would start with Cypher 1 (the oldest) and work to 4 that way you can see their growth. There aren't any music videos, so I would watch a lyric video, because the lyrics are AMAZING!! As for other BTS songs to listen to, I would recommend Save Me (a personal favorite), DNA, and Fire. There are so many more good ones, but I would definitely start with those. Also, a lot of the lyrics in BTS songs are more intricate than you might expect. Idol for example. I would recommend watching the video BTS Idol Explained by a Korean by DKDKTV.
