How has parenting changed your writing?
Hi Joe and Brent! How much does the general plot of your books change from the first to the last draft? And how hard do you find it to bring the metaphorical jackhammer to your work?
Brent's stories always seem to end how I hope they do, and Joe's always end how I fear they will. Brent, how would Burning White have ended if authored by Joe, and Joe, how would Wisdom of Crowds ended if authored by Brent?
Whats the hardest part of being a writer? World building? Making a character arc? Naming them? With what did you struggle the most at the beginning of your career?
You have each been chosen to write a gritty “dark” reboot of a beloved children’s book for a new adult TV series for a “premium network”, which one do you pick? In the opposite case, you need to take one of your characters and build a new children’s TV series around them, who do you pick?
What are you reading right now?
Do you ever get bored while writing? If so, do you think it’s a bad writing day and start over or do you just keep going till you have to edit? (Sorry for my English, greetings from Argentina!)
What fantasy authors would you consider the biggest influences on your own work?
