Attending this school sounds like an absolute dream. Maybe it'll be the start of a second career, when that time comes.

I was a patternmaker in the Navy and was nicknamed Geppetto because I enjoyed using all hand tools to do my work. If only I had been exposed to your passion for craft back then and youtube had been around. Thank you for exposing us to this amazing work and for inspiring great craftsmanship.

Can you do a video on room and trim colors? Natural colored wood vs stained vs painted trim and wainscot. I’m a woodworker and I’m completely redoing the interior of my 1900s NE Pennsylvania home. I love the look of natural woods. I have access to plenty of red oak and can’t decide if I should use it for trim or to go with a painted white trim. Great show I’ve learned a ton. Keep the videos coming especially the historical aspects. Thank you!

Have you ever been to Tiny Texas Houses in Luling,TX? It’s amazingly crafted tiny houses all from salvage materials (not built on trailers). There is a huge warehouse of salvage materials from the past. Beautiful and strong materials. It’s incredible 😊

What is the name of the of the stone (or concrete) architectural element between the two brick eyebrow arches at the entrance? Not a keystone.. Please help, it's driving me nuts. Just had to build a bunch of those doo-dads out of wood and nobody can agree on the correct name.

Brent, how come with how much you love pre 1940 historic homes you chose a mid century modern ranch for you personal house? I thought you would be much more into an arts and crafts or colonial style.

Good question. I always thought the same. We have lived in older homes but this one was right for my family at the time and we love the neighborhood. Maybe one day...
