Bre, you always deliver. Clean beauty is important, but if the products don’t work well, you have to have options. I’ve never tried Merit, but that lipstick…gorgeous. I’m running to Sephora.

My naturopath has me using only natural/clean products to regulate my hormones, I am not allowed to use anything with plastic. Does the Saie bronzer comes in a glass bottle?

The clean beauty uses fear to get people to panic and use their products and we know that without preservatives prevent your products/foods from spoiling or going bad having a shorter shelf light. When there is evidence for chemical based products.

I personally wouldn’t say that it uses fear but more so awareness but I understand what you mean…as person that uses both I think having the option of clean beauty is nice. Especially if your skin is more sensitive to fragrance and other chemicals or you have a health issue where you need to avoid certain ingredients clean beauty products make it easier for you to navigate!

Personally I dot care about that stuff going into my skin, but another way to see it is the cumulative effect of using these products on a population level on our environment. Everytime we wash our face, everytime we discard of a makeup product we didn't like, that's chemicals in the ocean for ya. This is just one perspective, and the only reason I see myself using clean beauty any time soon. But I do not right now, and I'm a hypocrite. Just putting the perspective out though LOL 😆

I follow Dr. Dray and Penn Smith-and both would agree with you. Certain ingredients have been demonized, without reason/factual data. People believe “clean” is better/safer-yet natural ingredients can be toxic without the perfectly safe ingredients used in other products. And natural products can turn quickly lose potency, texture, and begin to smell.

I think you are woefully misinformed. Clean beauty is an attempt to reduce the toxin load we constantly get from everyday commercial products. It not about preservatives. It’s about the artificial fragrances, plastic derivatives and synthetic additives and colorants that can bioaccumulate in the body and cause many diseases and affect human fertility. Don’t pay that price for ignorance.

I think you’re right! I’m in between shades right now still lighter than I usually am but not as dark as I can get… definitely opting for the next shade darker for summer ☀️
