Same here! Ever since he gave her the picture of her and Dawson, I just had a feeling that this was the beginning of something for them. Their friendship has been developed quite well and their relationship wonderfully written thus far. They truly are best friends who can’t live without the other but were willing to sacrifice their own happiness so the other one could be happy. I’m so happy that they finally realized the only way to be happy is with each other. If we’re this excited by them and they have barely gotten together, just imagine the wonderful storylines yet to come now that they have someone to face it all together with. 🥰

@@itshauteoutside Absolutely!! I saw another comment mention parallels between Brett & Casey. I love how in episode 2 of this season Brett was the one to initiate their first kiss; whereas in the last episode Casey was the one to initiate the kiss. I also LOVE, LOVE the contrast between the two kisses. Their first kiss was a shy and timid kiss--it was a kiss that acknowledged that Brett & Casey have feelings for each other, but that neither are ready for the next step. In contrast their second kiss sent an unspoken message for both Brett & Casey--"I'm ready to move forward and YOU are the one I want to be with in the future." Please tell me I am NOT only one that saw Casey nearly run to Brett to kiss her!!!

Their relationship so far has just been 👌🏼 The whole scene outside the firehouse was perfection for so many reasons. 1. It looked Cinematically STUNNING. The director and DP did an excellent job. 2. The surprise on his face when he realized what she said and that it meant that they both are finally able to get what they want after not having it for SO long. 3. The conviction in his answers as not to leave her sentiments without any doubt that he is choosing her and will ALWAYS choose her. THIS IS IT FOR THEM. The end all, be all relationship, the ONE they have both been looking for and found in each other. 4. The tears in his eyes when he realized this is truly happening, just when he was about to give up hope and cede to the notion that she didn’t feel the same way. 5. The way he ran to her before she could even finish saying “I’m in love with you, too.” LET’S NOT FORGET THE CHOICE TO USE A SPIRAL SEQUENCE DURING THEIR EPIC KISS. SERIOUSLY. Something straight out of a movie. Swoon. God, everything about that scene was utter perfection and SO romantic. I have to give it to the writers and directors for really showcasing the romance and intimacy between the two this entire episode. I don’t usually get butterflies or giggly over fictional characters to this extent, but these two have truly made me believe that love is out there and good people really get what they deserve.

I’m SO ready and okay with them fast tracking their relationship. I think they’ve spent the last 3 years falling madly in love with each other and pining for the other that they are both in a place where they know exactly what they want. Because of that, I don’t see these 2 waiting very long to get married, have children, and the whole shebang. I guarantee we will see them living together before the 200th episode! LET’S GOOOO. ❤️❤️❤️

Same. The irony is that before ep 15 aired, I had rewatched the ending of 14 and the sequence of Casey and Severide staring at their girls at Molly’s after they found out Stella had passed. I got a bit teary eyed just seeing the pure love and joy in both their eyes and said to myself, “it’s like Casey finally found the piece he’d been missing all along.” And so I looked up missing piece on here to see if there was any song like such and THAT’S when I saw that Vance was premiering his new song! I heard it and was taken aback with how SPOT ON everything in the song screamed Brettsey. If that’s not kismet then Idk what is lol. Ironically, the day after was when I edited my first vid. So, crazy how full circle that worked out!

It is the perfect song for them and you always find the perfect clips for the lyrics 😄 Especially the 9x16 love scene, they were in the room together, and they didn't need anyone else, just the two of them in their own little world 🤗 They were each other's missing pieces!

I love them too! Yeah, I don’t think Gabby can come back pregnant lol. In the show’s timeline, she came to visit over a year and a half ago. And I don’t see them bringing Gabby back with a child cuz that’s not something Monica would ever agree to haha. So I think we’re fine!
