if your just talking about streetcar class yeah..But he's not even close to the fastest on small tires overall... We're impressed and love following him for what he does in the class he races... It's a lot harder to make a car in streetcar trim do what he's doing then what most others do in their classes.. and if it wasn't then more people would be doing it..

Mullets engine kicked it out of the class the chassis was made for. Plus chassis wasn't built to even run what he was running. If you watch Steve Morrison, which is the guy that built the engine. they explain it in one of his new videos.

Just a side note, the older modular platform was every bit as capable at the extreme end of capabilities. John Mihovetz took the 4.6 4V platform to a 5.88 and 256mph with the oe cast block, heads, factory Kellogg crank, and all timing components minus the secondary chains. John also prepped the oe cast 5.4L in the world record standing mile TT GT that ran 300.4 mph in 20-ish seconds with roughly 2700 hp @ 9,500 rpm.

I just knew I wanted a new Mustang GT(I was very young) after the first time driving the car I knew that ford had done something very special with the coyote. There’s just not another v8 platform that performs like the coyote does straight from the factory. I now have a gen1 coyote in my 97 Cobra.

Most Regular guys like me Need Lund.. Most of us little by little our cars. Some people do better intakes and tunes, other go with proven Kits or Whipple's mostly.. A lot of us are perfectly happy making 600 to 800 wheel.. For daily use you don't want more than that really. Their customer's need everything to run and behave like it could have come from Ford that way.. I do anyway.. And they have tunes for every possible config out.. If you want to do a GT350 Intake, Air Box, and Throttle Body on your 5.0. They have a tune for that.. Any Config you can think of.. They can tune No Lift shift and Rev Matching for the MT82's.. And what they are able to do with 6R80's for the regular guy is pretty amazing. And I don't mean what they did to there's. I just mean tuning. The average guy above 40 especially could care less about the numbers..

drag doubles every 20mph over 40mph. put your turbos as low as possible and if possible at the center of pressure for your drag at the front of the car. 2,000hp with twin turbos, each turbo is pulling well over 1,500cfm, so might as well take advantage of that

The block itself of the coyote is stronger after resleeving than a resleeved LS block because there is more aluminum of the casting left around the sleeves and main. The stock heads flow more with 4 valves because obviously they have more valve surface area. A completely stock bottom end LS 5.3 has gone 7.1 n the 1/4 with stock block not resleeved, stock rods, stock pistons, stock crank, and stock head castings. Basically, we are spoiled as the power levels being made today would have only been fairy tales 20 years ago. If you want to pull a motor out of the junk yard for cheap and make 1000 hp then the LS is the way to go. Around 1500 hp with either platform things get pretty equal in terms of cost. 2000+ coyote is the way to go if you want to keep a stock block. If you want to go with an aftermarket block, iron or billet or even a dart or lsr aluminum casting then it becomes just a matter of preference as either platform is going to cost a lot of $$$ to run these times and make that amount of power.

he almost never said something is hard or something was a headache to get through. that's how you know the passion is there. you see other racers build cars and complaining how hard things were to get there, those are not true rev heads.

@@rambro0943he’s done all the installs on the GT500? He’s putting a carb’d twin turbo coyote and a TH400 in Hushmoney? He stopped with the single turbo kit cause he didn’t want to cut up the white car and move shit around, the ZR1 oil leak can’t be addressed since it’s at Calimer getting a trans. Just say you don’t like his attitude no reason to lie about what he does. If he was gonna whine and bitch he would’ve done it on Street Alpha and Cooper’s show, and he didn’t.

@169abr well I must have missed the comment about the Lunds using the 6r80 as a crutch. I can see how Lund racing could take offence to that. Alex is an amazing tuner as is all of Lund. And I will also admit Alex has said some things that piss me off on his show, but its his show and he’s entitled to his opinion.
