Brevard is a beautiful city in Transylvania County, NC and is the county seat for the county. Brevard is the 7th largest Mountain City in North Carolina with at least an elevation of 2,000 Feet above Sea Level or more. Brevard has an population of a little under 8,000 residents (2019).
Brevard is also a very popular vacation town in the North Carolina because of the environment in and around Brevard. Brevard is in the middle of Waterfall Heaven. Transylvania County is known as "The Land of the Waterfalls". Transylvania County has more than 250 waterfalls out of the 350 in the State of North Carolina! There is not another county in the U.S. with more waterfalls. In this video - it features the downtown of Brevard, NC. Brevard is named after Colonel Ephraim Brevard M.D. who was an reputed Revolutionary War Veteran. The City was created in 1861 by the county of Transylvania.
Brevard is known for it's White Squirrels. Every year on Memorial Day - Brevard holds the White Squirrel Festival. The City also has other festivals like the Independence Day Festival and Halloweenfest.

Thank you SmokedOutLee Gaming. Brevard is in the middle of Transylvania County in the Mountains which is considered the Land of the Waterfalls. You definitely need to visit and hit some of the main attractions. Get on hwy 276 and stop by Looking Glass Falls - then continue to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You won't be disappointed.
