Hi Jessica, no worries - I got you covered! The cleaning process for the grinder should be done each time you change beans or at least every 2-4 weeks. It will make a HUGE improvement to the taste of your coffee! Also, don't store your beans in the hopper, they will oxidize quickly and will change flavor. Add just enough to grind for your coffee each time. At that point, you need to flush the reservoir with a 1:1 mix of white Vinegar and water, as is shown in this video. I did an update to the grinder cleaning video in our KZfaq shorts. It is a faster way to clean that will save you time and steps each time you clean the grinder. @@laualari yes, cleaning the grinder is actually extremely important. As you likely know, coffee goes stale and starts coffee tastes nasty. The coffee grinds get packed in the grinder and the oils from the beans will most definitely negatively impact the taste of your morning cup of coffee. Also, switching between roasts or beans is another reason to clean the grinder before using the next batch of coffee. I know it sounds like a hassle but your coffee will taste much better for taking the time to do this routinely. 😎👍☕️

Hi Tricia, Yes - the vinegar and water solution is to be run through the reservoir system. The ratio is 1:1 white vinegar to water. The cleaning tablet goes in the "Cleaning Disk" attachment, which fits into the single shot cup that goes into the portafilter. Run the cleaning tablet first, and then after it is done, you run the vinegar/water solution through the reservoir. I hope this clears up any confusion.
