This is a fantastic pack review! I really wanna try making one like this! Super cool how you get really clean looking shots of the pack itself and how you explain it! And as usual super funny! Great video! I just got the Peak Design Everyday pack a little while ago and I really love it but one thing I have a hard time with is trying to figure out a way to pack my gimbal especially if its a weekend trip and I wanna pack clothes too! This pack doesn't look any bigger than mine so im wondering how the heck you also get your clothes n stuff in it! Maybe I just pack more clothes than you lol

Love the bag! Im traveling to LA in 2 weeks and this is perfect for me. Question: i have the a6500 with sony 50mm 1.8 & i want one more lens to travel with. I want to be able to capture some nice photos in LA (landscape, places ect..) should I go with the sony 18-105 all around lens or a wide angle lens instead?

That's awesome! You'll love the sun and blue skies in LA during that time :) I would the Sony 10-18mm is a good choice, which would capture the whole streets and buildings if you're walking around Downtown LA. Wide angle lens like that makes images really dramatic too. Hope this helps!

Probably all but the Crane! Gimbals need to be in proper cases because the motors need to be protected!

No definitely not! That's what the carabiner is for! Otherwise, you might be packing too much stuff in the rolltop, lol

Good question! I think it can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Gimbals are pretty fragile tools that should really be kept in a case.

Hi there! Is there a pocket on this bag that would fit a camelbak reservoir for drinking while wearing? I am trying to find a bag that will work for some day hiking with my camera gear for trips that may include hiking up some rougher terrain. It looks like their newer packs are waterproof vs water resistant I wonder how long this thing would last in the rain.

I was looking at the peak design pack which apparently fits one in the laptop compartment, but I've heard some negative reviews so just looking at options! I have a similar kit as in a Sony mirrorless and same lenses, and just want to carry a few extra personal items. So it doesn't need to be a big bag

no way, 5 days?? Dang. I like the idea of traveling without checking a bag, and so I've looked at travel-style backpacks like the Tortuga out breaker or the osprey Porter, but they're not camera friendly. the camera dedicated bags usually have very little space for clothed etc.

Great review, thanks! Trying to decide between this Brevite and WANDRD PRVKE 21 or 31... I see in the comments that you didn't like the PRVKE. Was it 21 or 31 version? Would you please elaborate on why Brevite works better for you? Also, I can't seem to find the dimensions of the camera cube in Brevite Rolltop on their website, but it looks like it's similar to the one found in PRVKE 31.

Thanks! I tried out the PRVKE 21, and just didn't like the usability of it it. There's a huge zipper compartment that I wasn't sure how to utilize, where the Brevite makes use of space in their Rolltop. The cube in both backpacks are very similar. It could fit a DSLR like a 5D4 easy. Hope this helps!

Thank you! It seems like Brevite Rolltop stands somewhere in between PRVKE 21 and 31 in terms of size and volume. It has outer dimensions similar to PRVKE 31, but it has volume similar to PRVKE 21, which is a bit strange to me. At the same time Brevite Rollotop has bigger camera cube similar to the one found in 31... So the only advantage Brevite seem to have over PRVKE 31 is cheaper price and more small compartments in the flap. Decisions, decisions...

Hi Leo. I ended up ordering Brevite first. But i didn't like it. It's cumbersome to get the gear in and out as the camera cube is not easily accessible from the front and too much space is wasted due to thick dividers. Then I could not balance the waist straps with the shoulder straps to feel them both comfortable at the same time. Seems like the waist straps are always too high, for my torso at least. So I have ordered the Prvke 31 and just got it yesterday. So far it seems like a much better pack for me. It's about the same size, but could hold more gear and it addresses all the things I didn't like in the brevite. The shoulder straps are better and wider, it's much more comfortable on the back, for me at least. And it looks way better, IMO :)

Plus, I've just noticed, that my green PRVKE does look slimmer because the laptop compartment on the back is black and visually does not really contribute to the overall pack's volume. It could be helpful during check-in in airports.

I’ve just ordered a vanguard alta Rise 48 so that I could use the top compartment for my zhiyun crane.. my other option is an advanced Tri backpack from Manfrotto with a similar upper compartment if the first one fails to accommodate.. hope this will work. I hope keeping my crane in a padded space won’t damage its brushless motors! What do you suggest ?

This is my bag too! I love the look of it....BUT honestly, I'm fairly disappointed in the functionality. It's a pain in the butt to acces both the main compartment, and the rolltop. The magnets sound like a clever idea in theory, but when trying to stuff things in there, its uber annoying to have that thing keep clicking shut between grabs of other items. I'm going to sell mine.
