I’ve never been inside the stadium, but I love the development around the stadium. I’ve been to the music venue next door and it’s the best I’ve ever been to. I also love how you guys have a designated scalping street.

One thing no one can say about the cubs is that they are fairweather fans. That place sold out every game in a 100 year championship drought. Say what you want about the fans, but if ANY team doesn’t have fairweather fans, it’s the Cubs.

If I remember correctly, there was a study one time that figured out that the Cubs attendance numbers had a better correlation to their beer prices than to their win/loss record because for years they had the cheapest beer in the bigs.

As a fib who liked the cubbies back when it was NOT popular I can relate to that sentiment. I got really confused when after years of not watching any baseball I kept seeing foljs in the south wearing Cubs hats and Ts. Then someone told me they won something and I didn't believe them, then I realized how rediculous folks are just riding popularity. One of the things I liked about the cubs and especially their fans when I was a kid was that they didn't win and weren't on top all the time so they weren't big in the head.

@@orielwiggins2225the cubs have ALWAYS been popular, especially in states that don’t have or only recently got a baseball team. WGN is a nationwide news channel and they would broadcast cubs games, so it was often the only games people in flyover states like Iowa could watch.
