I'm Brewing a Fruited Strawberry Blonde Ale using Voss Kveik to make a gorgeous strawberry fruit tasting beer!
Voss Kveik is a powerhouse and ferments in under 24 hours with beautiful orange esters meaning you can cut down your brew time by a fortnight!
Im using the Fermzilla coupled with fermenting at pressure to speed up time in your brewed beer!
I also go over transferring without introducing oxygen!

I've been using Lutra Kveik for pseudo lagers and it always turns out amazing. I've been wanting to experiment with some Voss Kveik, and this recipe looks like a winner. 👍👍

Thanks very much! :) That’s definitely going on the list of things to brew! Bit of a backlog building up now! I’ll try go for some balance, some 10minute brew says some longer in that case :)

ive got this lined up for my next beer and am very excited for it. thanks for the inspiration and ill let you know how it goes! 10 mins suits me but if you have enough content to fill out 20 then go for it. maybe you could include the tilt information from your fermentation? i personally would like to see how the data looks during the brew especially with fruit and kveik in the mix

Nice video! Glad I watched, just wanted to let you know your recipe on brewfather seems to be missing the most important ingredient, the strawberries! But looking forward to brewing this one this weekend now :)

Very nice and very detailed which was awesome. Next time you do a fruited beer considering adding a bit of flaked anything or some wheat as I personally find that it helps the flavors of the fruit to linger on your tongue a bit longer allowing you to taste it a bit more compared to without.

Thanks very much! That’s a great idea on adding something flaked or wheat, I usually see the addition of those in recipes but now it’s nice to know why :D

@@NikitaVorontsov I love making different beer styles with a hint of fruit or other non typical beer flavors probably a lot more than most and with the experiments I've done in the past I would say wheat seems to be the best at it but oatmeal and flaked barley are not far off.

We tried the recipe, and it turned out great! We decided to add extra whole grain by 10% and the OG still turned out really low. Like 1.038 low. What was the target abv for this brew? We finished with a 1.009 FG totalling 3% abv It'll definitely come in great as a summer refresher!
@NikitaVorontsov
@NikitaVorontsov 2 жыл бұрын
That’s fantastic glad it turned out well!! That’s odd wonder why it came out that low! I think I was aiming around 4%ish abv

Just starting out on the brewing journey myself. Only have limited gear right now so just doing partial mash brews but loving it so far. How about a pineapple hazy pale ale?
@NikitaVorontsov
@NikitaVorontsov 3 жыл бұрын
That’s wicked! What gear do you have? :) might be worth doing a video on brewing with different equipment points! Pineapple Hazy Pale sounds like a great idea, maybe NEIPA style with heavy tropical hops AND with extra pineapple added too
@Nickubus99
@Nickubus99 3 жыл бұрын
@@NikitaVorontsov that sounds perfect! I might try it too but a partial mash version!? I've got a 20l stainless pot and doing 50 percent grain bills of popular recipes using grain bags. Then topping the wort up with beer kits. Adding hops during boil but pour wort through a kitchen strainer into the fermenter to get all the hops out. Done 3 so far! All been good. I have a pilsner down right now as it's winter in NZ and easy to keep temps low ☺️.

What temperature did you set the beer/wort to when you added the strawberry?
@NikitaVorontsov
@NikitaVorontsov Жыл бұрын
I think I just kept it at around 20C or whatever it was fermenting at originally

Is there any risk of getting the yeast killed when i add the strawberries if i dont wait 24h for the campden tablet effect to disappear?
@NikitaVorontsov
@NikitaVorontsov 2 жыл бұрын
I think that there is a small chance of killing the yeast, I doubt it’s huge as yeast is fairly sturdy (especially Kveik) but it doesn’t hurt to wait just in case

At 05:28 what do you put in? Does it control temperature with inkbird ?

That would have been a tilt hydrometer, it measures the specific gravity of the liquid and outputs this via Bluetooth to let you know when fermentation is dying down

So you ferment the beer 14 days at 20C and then added the strawberry and another 14 days at 20C? or?? and is the strawberry puree only frozen or did you add some water to it?
@NikitaVorontsov
@NikitaVorontsov 10 ай бұрын
I think it was a total of 14 days at 20C, I think it finished fermenting quite early on. And just frozen and thawed a few times no water added at all. Freezing helps break the cell walls releasing the water

And I'd probably have used more in hindsight, strawberries have virtually no sugar in them and so don't impart much of a flavour at all!
