Dry hopping is a great way to add a little more hop character to your beers. But when is the best time to add those hops? Jamil talks with Scott Janish on his experiments with adding dry hops at colder temperatures than we might otherwise think about. Scott has done a lot of research on the subject, and brings the knowledge on this one!

I started dry hopping after a soft cold crash at 45f. I like the hops to go into the top fermenter and slowly drop through the beer over 2 days. I don't like when the hops float on top if the 70f degree beer for days. I want the pellets in the beer at deeper more submerged level and thats why I do it. By the way love your pod cast but way too many youtube commercials. Almost 3 commecials in 10 minutes on one of your segments. Is there a way to turn them down?
