Being born in 1990, as a kid they were starting to add the orange and there was a mix of real and unrealistic looking toy guns out there. Kids preferred the real looking and weighing ones. In my neighborhood, at elementary age, we were taught to drop them if the police drove by and we KNEW that if we got shot that it was OUR faults. A different time.

@@DankChickenMan It’s not like shooting airsoft BBs through a straw is unheard of. Kipkay put out a video a while back where he showed you how to make a sort of pocket-sized machine gun using a pill bottle and a small plastic tube. It may have even been a straw IIRC. You blow into the pill bottle to force a bunch of BBs through the tube rapidly.

Airsoft guns were a lot weaker back then. Nearly all BB were 0.12. The highest velocity of guns were like 300FPS, because nearly all of them were imported from Japan which prohibits guns that shoot over like 1J. In Japan for example, you got girls playing airsoft without any facial covering at all, because the BB hit so lightly it isn't going to scar or anything like here in the US where people associate power with accuracy, and the fact that US fields are a lot bigger than most Japanese fields.

Aj Winters There was a kid who played with us who did something like that. One of his spring pistols broke so he took the metal tube out and would put a bunch of BBs in his mouth then just spit them out the pipe. The sad thing was, he got better distance and rate of fire than most of the guns we were using at that time.

My friend literally wears like four layers even in summer.
