As a Giants fan, i truly hate the Eagles. Hate em. But Brian Dawkins, always had respect for this man. Dude was a Warrior, and played liked it. This hof speech, just made me respect him even more than ever. Congratulations Mr Dawkins on a well deserved honor.

The athletes who have donned Philadelphia across their chest for a big chunk of their career all say the same thing in their own individual words. The love they feel from the city is mutual. That's why we love guys like B Dawk, Iverson, Utley, Rollins, Embiid. When those guys say they love our fan base it's not just a cliche, they truly mean it, we know it's genuine.

I'm just seeing this now after watching his Football Life episode. Brian's Football Life may have been the 1st time I cried during an episode, because I could feel his passion & pain, as I can here. Depression, thoughts of suicide, all & unfortunately mutual feelings that I & so many others have been through. My Patriots beat his Eagles in 2004, his Eagles beat my Patriots last season. But no matter what, he will ALWAYS be a champion at life. God bless this man & all of you who struggle too. We will overcome!
