I just noticed that Brian doesn't really respond to their questions about his book. He just waves excuses and pettily insults them, then switches sides when it becomes clear they don't like it. Even his last question is less of a response to his book's weaknesses, and more along the lines of, "what opinion do you want me to take so I can remain in the right?"

He was pointing out that the title is so generic, it appeals to everyone, yet it wouldn't help someone with cancer. Someone with cancer may look at the title and perceive it as overcoming hardships, like wanting to live a normal life after a devastating disease, and they'll buy it for that reason. The fact the title is so general misleads a lot of desperate people. Like Bill said, it's popular, but it's not good.

The are so many counter-arguments Brian could have made: - Comparing a $50-100 max book to “legitimate healthcare” - well, that doesn’t seem to be a valid comparison in terms of the cost - Damaging, harmful - well, “damage” and “harm” are strong words, too…How does a book like this harm or damage someone with cancer or in Darfur? - Sometimes people need a quick fix even if it’s not really a fix, but more like a mental placebo that can help a given person overcome some smaller personal/professional/emotional issue that does not necessarily need a complex, comprehensive solution.
