It's definitely his remains because a DNA test confirmed it (which is always done when human remains are found so if his belongings were planted it would have useless because DNA would have revealed that the remains found were someone else's). For it to not be him, he would have had to have an identical twin because only identical twins have the exact same DNA.

"Knowing how to survive" is relative. It doesn't mean he knows how to survive for weeks on end in a flooded, gator-infested swamp. And it doesn't mean he didn't commit suicide when he got there, which is another possibility. Personally, I think he was probably communicating with his parents for at least a couple of weeks before he died.

Who has ever been to myakkahatchee Park? Or Carlton reserve? Their findings were said to be where the two parks meet. That's quite a ways out. Myakkahatchee is a very heavily trafficked Park by hikers, bikers and horse back riders WHEN IT'S NOT FLOODED. Just a lite rain makes it an everglades. I rode my horse once at Carlton Reserve, at one point we rode a raised road about 10 ft wide literature lined with gators on both sides (laying on top of one another) for atleast a mile. Buggy, filled with hogs. As I said ONCE that was enough. And remember Carlton reserve is in Venice and myakkahatchee is in Northport. And there's Myakka state forest that runs along the boarder of both and a huge ranch to the east. And runs all the way to Arcadia.

@@lenaknight7571 The police found most of his head, the lower part with the jaw attached so they could do the dental comparisons. They said they found other bits and pieces but didn't tell what parts they were. Only the head was mentioned specifically.

There are people who believe the Chris Watt story was fake. People said that it just lined up too well, like a movie, key points were on film, etc.

The Landries handling of this mess from the start has just made much more of a mess. If this is not Brian (DNA) I can only imagine the possibilities.All of this could have been avoided. Brian with his parent's ongoing support should have been encouraged to do the right thing and turn himself in. Now Brian may have not been cooperative with that. I think he flipped out and strangled Gabby in a rage. But, she looked into the face and eyes of her killer. It takes 5-7 minutes to kill someone that way. that's a long time. Yes, innocent until proven guilty but who the heck else would have done that

From a layman's perspective I would assume they're saying remains instead of body because it's not an actual body, which would be consistent with the body being underwater. Quick deterioration/decomposition of what was once the body...but who knows!

It's just not what normal people would do. If you're not guilty of anything why would you call a lawyer for protection? I'm sorry it just doesn't make sense at all.

@@jasonlo8780 Only teeth were used to identify Brian Laundrie and that is called dental records, CNN and various news outlets stated skeletal remains and did not state what parts of the skeleton. The Laundries could have easily pulled a tooth or two from Brian's mouth with a set of pliers and threw in some old dug up skeleton bones, along with his backpack and notebook for effect. Now did they do that? I dunno, but not like it's impossible, and it would be a strategy to thwart law and bounty hunters after you by convincing them you are really dead, to get the heat off of you. So it is always a possibility.
