God bless Kevin Richardson...I know he is underestimated outside the Fandom. But this here is how he has always talked and behaved and *protected* his Brothers whether the BSB or NSYNC. He's only human and even HE had to have his time out of this burnout shitstorm. But man he is a born wise leader. And BSB would not exist as it was or is now ( or some individual memebers I'd speculate would not be *alive* today) if it weren't for his kind but firm fatherly leadership in the face of a snaked out character like Lou Perlman ( RIP)

When you realize Max Martin produced the biggest hits by Britney Spears, BSB, Nsync, Kesha, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, lady gaga, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson and p!nk. The man single handily was creating the pop world as we know it for the past 20 years

Max Martin didn't produce any of Miley's songs except for "Don't Call Me Angel" which is a collab between miley, ari, and lana which was from an album sountrack produced by Ariana.

Brian's just speaking the truth. He put off open heart surgery twice because management wanted them to continue working, or they would give it to NSYNC. As Lance said too, there was no hatred between them, but management made it appear that way because they didn't want them talking to each other. Fatal mistake was when management arranged a charity basketball game between BSB and NSYNC in Europe, and Brian, Nick, Justin, and JC went for hamburgers afterwards. That's when Brian found out that Lou & co. were doing the exact same thing to NSYNC that they were doing to BSB. Brian needs to write a damn book. He knows more than any of them what was going on during those years. He has said too that they are friends. He lives in Atlanta and doesn't seem to have the need to have celebrity friends or brag about them if he does.

When Kevin talks about the animosity Brian had for them when he came back after surgery, you can tell it really affected him. Brian was getting pressure from all sides even the cousin who was suppose to take care of him. I want to know.

@@mrsjake1828 yes I have seen it, the sacrifices and the insane pressure on him, they didn't want him to do that surgery and after that they didn't even let him recover properly as he should poor thing. I'm proud of him and he will always be my fav no matter what.

Backstreet boys had a soul, you can see how much they're truly family, Nsync? Lance wasn't even invited to Justin's wedding...they weren't friends only business...BSB are family that's why they're still successful and epic!!!

i watched the YT docu on Pearlman , made by Bass, but i still don't get it, how many years were BB slaving under Pearlman until the court decision and everything was over? and they were working for themselves and did they drop any hits after that period? And not enough was said about the money, did the BB recover the stolen sum or till this day, like the airline investors, zero ? That pig had no offspring as far as i know, is that money still sitting in offshores and international banks still couldn't pin the accounts down? i find it unbelievable

Thank you to Brian for keeping it real & pulling back that curtain. It’s interesting. There’s also this constant Nsync got screwed over but the Backstreet Boys got it way worse from so many angles & they haven’t ever really aired it all out or done it in a way that makes you understand the magnitude like when Nsync spoke of it.

Also him saying he encourages his kid to go solo because it’s hard to be in a group (which I understand) maybe say it differently? Since he is in a group and is there promoting his BSB tour. Good answer, very diplomatic. Shows there was mutual respect between the bands, they were just played off against each other by management. Fans take competition more seriously than the talent. Also I just need to add, "It was number five, number five killed my brother".

Brian is Brian he has hardly changed. He's evolved though. He's had an extremely difficult journey with his voice ( you can watch Show Em What Youre Made of the documentary). So I tend to forgive his passion now. He's clearly containing it well and seems to be relaxed much more now and happier. So let him play with the damn dog🤣😭 he's earned it🥰

Not only with his voice, but needing open heart surgery when all of this rivalry stuff was going on. From what I've read , all this conflict with Lou really was worse for Brian than any of them. He's lived through a lot. And, he does seem much more relaxed and happier now. Just watch the videos and interviews from when the documentary came out. He was so thin and sad during those interviews. Whatever their demons were, they all seem to have come out better on the other side, and seem to genuinely love being together and love being on that stage. If Brian had quit when he lost his voice in 2015, none of their success since then would have happened. Brian really is their heart and soul of the group.

Love love love that they all had that camaraderie between the 2 groups, & understood where the source of any conflict was really coming from...the industry people milking them for every penny they could get out of them. I know for myself in high school in the late 90's, it was hard as hell for me to choose a favorite. Everytime I would think I had a fav, I'd remember all the amazing songs of the other group. I did see N'SYNC live, but that was because my dad scored tickets for myself & 3 of my friends (thanks again dad☝⛅☄🙏💙)

this was info i'm glad they talked about. I remember both groups fondly. It wasn't music that would change the world, but it made you feel good. Sometimes all you need is something to take your mind off of the world's problems. We could use a BSB or NSYNC now days

To compare Backstreet Boys and NSYNC in sports team terms, Backstreet Boys have depth down the lineup and of course talent up front. Whereas NSYNC was top heavy and reliant on two members. Btw I’m a 30 year-old male that enjoys sports (hockey being my favourite).

Yeah, NSYNC was a great band, there's no denying that, but they focused more on the dancing rather than the singing. Both them and BSB could dance, but NSYNC was better when it came to dancing I'll admit. My older cousin went to BSB and NSYNC shows back in the day with her sister who was obsessed with them. But she wasn't old enough to go so she had to take her but my cousin is a metalhead and hated boy bands lol. But she said that BSB were always the better singers.

They would have never gotten out of Orlando if Brian had said no and stayed in Lexington. Even now, they need his voice to be successful. You can pick out his tone above all the others. Their last single featuring just Nick and Howie was a bust. Brian is essential to their success.

Lance actually said that from NSYNC..that their first song was given to them because the band before turned it down lol.. I think we all knew it was the backstreet boys but I'm glad people know now they weren't sour towards each other..each band was fucked over by the same dude..not to mention each band had different awesome qualities.i was a bsb fan first lol they could saaaanggg and aj was my favorite personally lol.. but they rarely if ever danced. Then NSYNC came out and they could dance and sing pretty good as well..I still remember I was totally team bsb but NSYNC did that song it's gunna be me and I was like 🤔🤔🤔🤔🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😁 lol it's like my allegiance was changing lol(I was a child ahahha)...but now as an adult I enjoy both honestly lol.. listening to their old songs or watching both bands old performances I enjoy it...and I'm like..damn I was singing lyrics I didn't know a damn thing about hahahahaah same with Britney Spears and lots of people around then lol.i ain't know nothing of love hahahaha I listen to some songs now like...damn they right ahhahaha love is that way lmao..crazy but both bands were pretty great

I admire your passion, but it is just an opinion. Nsync were very talented too. There was no rivalry between the guys, so why should there be any between the fans. This circular argument of which band is better will never be answered, it depends on your point of view. And that's our choice as individuals

Not everyone knows that even _Bye Bye Bye_ had been originally offered to another boy group of the 90's before NSYNC recorded it. The group in question is 5ive. The latter were offered _Baby One More Time_ as well before Britney Spears, those 5 British boys rejected a lot of timeless hits 😅.

In my opinion I don't consider BSB as a boyband because they didn't fit the status quo. I would put them as one of the best quartet (even though there are five members) singers of all time. Remember they came out as well NSYNC because Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, were kicking butts! I love the 90s music.

Justin respects his days as a part of NSYNC but he only saw them as co workers. Which isn't terrible, I'm in the same boat with my coworkers. 3 out of the 5 BSB all came from homes that didn't have a great family life so it kind of makes sense that they stayed together over years. Even with Kevin taking a 6 year break

I personally preferred BSB. They somehow seemed more soulful than Nsync. I hear BSB i think pop- rnb. I hear Nsync i think bubblegum pop. All of the members of BSB had great voices. NSYNC only had JC and that piece of s***t Justin as vocalists.

Backstreet Boys had the better ballads. But NSYNC had the better dance tracks.

Yes, very true. However, when NSYNC could still do great ballads (best being This I Promise You), while BSB had some bangers (Everybody, Get Down)

I liked Backstreet Boys much better than NSYNC. That was me. But I think NSYNC, while they had some damn good dance tracks, also had some really good ballads. I'm glad they both found tremendous success, and even thought, again, I personally preferred BSB, I don't think either group was better than the other. They were just different.

Ivaylo Iontchev i still think This I promise you and God Must Have Spent has more substance and musicality than any BSB ballad tho. And JC took NSYNC ballads to another level.

Nsync were the better singers and the Harmonies were way tighter. They were like a next level BSB. But BSB were around first and led the way for these boyband.
