I think Brian's concert deserves not only a Blu-ray release, but also a release in an IMAX theater so we can hear the music with as much epicness as Brian Tyler's music requests.

You are still one of my favourite composers, together with Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Thomas Bergersen! Keep up your awesome work! I'm so glad i just discovered you YT-Channel! Why didn't i recognise it earlier?
Brian, it sounds like you used the harmonic minor. Or maybe the Dorian scale? Anyway, I'm just interested, it sounds very nice. The 1 min. 21 sec. mark, when you really bring out the theme with the choir, it's a bit eerie with the time signature change that breaks the predictable 4/4 feel. The 2 min. 26 sec. mark with your ostinato, building back up to the main theme, and the ending with the trumpet hitting the C#6 (High C#), that was a beautiful tip of the cap to a classic era of film scoring. My God, Brian, it is such a relief to see and hear a film composer bring an emphasis of storytelling back to the Hollywood film score. Your theme to me, seems to be built not on the horrors of the mummy character, but the mysterious, almost God-like fascination that a human might feel when seeing this very powerful antagonist.
@trevorjensen93007 жыл бұрын
I'll make a correction, the 4/4 was there at the point of the choir, but you definitely orchestrated it nicely to break it up a bit with what sounds like some syncopation with the flutes.
