This video really helped! I got the job done in about 3 hours. Be very careful and don’t mess with the adjustment of the locking nut on the brake assembly. I had to reinstall the pedal assembly because my brakes were stuck on. Good luck everyone!

I was quoted $1200 to get mine replaced and now I can see why... it truly seems easy just a lot of steps. Nissan making it seem almost impossible to fix anything yourself...

Thanks. It didn't take me 8 minutes but rather 4 hours. Twisting it back in at a funny angle really slowed me down a bit. But following the steps here really helped. Also didn't take off the computer part. A cable just refused to come out so i I tucked it high up and got the thing out and back in.

Thanks for the video! I just did mine. Hardest part was having no space to work! Not really taking everything off. I was upside down on my side reaching for tools was crazy but not impossible. If you can have some one hand you the things you need it helps a lot because of the space. Tip**I didn’t remove computer bcm. put it as high as you can should be enough room to remove blower motor!

If you are not small take out the front seat and save yourself a lot of pain. Makes it a lot easier.

T20 torx screw by engine latch. 8mm socket to remove bcm bracket and motor. 13mm long to remove pedals. Removing the cover under steering allows you to open bcm bracket screw easily with extention. No need to unplug bcm, just push it higher. U need a pliers to turn the motor into position once you get it in. You need a needle nose to pull the tie wraps on brake pedal. No need to remove the air channel. Pedals and bcm bracket are only obstacles along with the brake pedal fork. Took me 1 hour. Very helpful video, thank you very much

I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra broke my arm haven't been able to drive it I don't know if it was a squirrel or a rat I think they made a mess where are my AC is cost when I turn it on it makes a lot of noise like leaves and stuff like that I opened the hood and I found some pecans broken by the battery I've been asking how to get it cleaned myself how do you say it would be by the blower I'm looking at your video right here and could they had make a nest in there

Which way do you turn the adjustable wrench to loosen the locking nut on the clevis? I assumed counter-clockwise, but I can't get it to budge. I also tried clockwise, and it still won't move.

Ohhhh. I think I want to turn it clockwise because you have to turn the clevis counter-clockwise. So turning it clockwise will move it AWAY, thus leaving room to get the clevis off?

I got it off. The nut turns to the right (clockwise) and the clevis turns to the left (counter-clockwise).

I keep seeing videos and people saying its an hour job and i see the seat still installed. I took out the seat and still took more than an hour just to remove the old blower. Good luck everyone!

Great video! Thank you! Question. I have my new blower motor in, but i cannot for the life of me rotate it to align the screw. Any suggestions to get this thing turned? Also, unfortunately i lost the blower motor mounting screw during removal. Does anyone know what size would work? Thanks!

I just installed mine. Once you get unit in, you turn it left pass the alignment bracket to get to fall in to the proper depth then twist it back right. The reason is the little angle piece is what locks it in place. The angle piece is right of the alignment arm

@@johnram4338 yes, I got it done. I'll never do it again on MY Nissan. This video was helpful but it was the hardest remove and replace job I've ever done. And I've been doing this for 40 years

Try to use a flat hat to pry it off if you haven’t already done it yet.

@@BrianBalatbatI never got the connectors off but was able to somehow remove the old fan and install the new one just by shoving the BCM out of the way. Thanks for your help!

@@bhackaa laying on your back looking up, I was able to remove one of the clips from the BCM, the one that has the easy side release... I couldn't release the other two that had end clips. Keep the metal bracket facing down (toward your face) and shove the bcm (with two wires still connected) as far up and to the right as you can. As long as you are part giraffe and octopus, and you have tremendous patience, you will get it. The screw that holds the blower fan in will be shiny silver and is a phillips btw. Just take your time. Good luck!

Then turn so you are laying on your left shoulder facing/looking toward the passenger side of the car, way up in the middle of the dash you will see the blower. One of the toughest repairs I've ever tried to do to a car.

I cant figure out how to get the computer unplugged for some reason. Got aggrivated, and left it in the garage for tonight. I did this 8 years ago and somehow forgot how horrific the whole process is. Now in my infinite genius I bought another Sentra, and I'm doing it again.

For anyone reading, you don't need to unplug the computer at all, just move it out of the way as you work

This job has to be one of the worst things to do in the freezing winter . I can't stand the way that all needs to be removed. To be honest , I never reinstalled the right side brace mount that helps hold the Kick panel . it just wouldn't line up right for me with the pedal assembly .

I did Valeo motor,lasted 2.5yrs in a temperate climate UK...Amazon motor was a third of the price with a 3 Yr guarantee,yes the business will probably be long gone If I need to claim...but Valeo simply aren't worth the extra..check out E11 rhd,a complete joke of a job.

@@petercarey4507 worked fine and still working today great. I would suggest that you put some type of light coating of lubricant/grease on the blower motor’s threads. The unit twists into place and the last 3mm of turning was tough! If there was maybe some silicone grease on it it would have slipped right into place. But overall not a bad project and saved a bunch of money.

I wouldn’t say it’s a scam, but $700 is a bit much for this job. Mobile mechanic would probably charge $200 labor for this job.

What a stupid design. This video saved me from buying a 11 sentra with a bad blower motor..not worth the hassle..plus they have the worst CVT known to man

2013 Nissan Sentra SV. Just Changed out my wife's blower motor. Don't follow this video. Take out the glove box. No more difficult than changing a headlight on most modern vehicles. I tried to video, but it wouldn't work on my phone. There are videos showing the glove box method.

*typo, I put 2013 instead of 2012. But yeah 2013 is a different design that’s why yours can be removed from the glove box. I fixed the title my mistake.

I just replace one in 2010. Want to make it real comfortable take out the drivers front seat. You can change out one of the blower motors and the transistor in about an hour. But you just need to make sure the battery is disconnected for at least 20 minutes.
