Its sucks that people think it's necessary to comment negatively about you being so thorough and well-worded in a makeup tutorial for beginners, especially when you put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video! I'm 20 years old and just now getting into makeup and I really appreciate that your videos are filled with so many tips and tricks that one only learns through a lot of trial and error. No only do you sound intelligent but you explained things in a way that I have not heard it explained before. I've been doing winged eyeliner for years, and I've always had technical difficulties, lol, mostly because I have hooded eyes and it didn't look quite right. This is the first time I've heard the advice of going for the top of the ear, omg, THANK YOU SO much! In under two weeks I don't even need to mark it out anymore, it just flows. Been doing winged liner for over 20 years and I still have crappy days where they're either not even or angled right or too thick. But these tips really help to improve! And the fingernail trick-OMG. I don't know why I never thought of it, but it's totally saved my life!

For 7 months I've been trying to do a wing on my eyelids that look like yours! 12:15 am after watching your video I had to try your hooded technique on my eyes! YESSSSS! PERFECT WING FINALLY!!!! You’re seriously an amazing teacher! I’m a teacher myself, the school kind- not the KZfaq kind (I wish), but I never have time to sift through a billion KZfaq channels to “keep up with ‘times’” (I’m 28 lol) on makeup trends that all of my other, younger friends have time to follow. You make that not an issue anymore! You talk me through it step by tiny step and I NEED that, not someone who skips over information, assuming the viewer already knows it, just to seem more knowledgeable on the fact. I have watched many different tutorials to attempt to perfect my eyeliner game and I really appreciate how you describe and show how to actually put it on and make the wings look great. My wings were constantly getting cut off and I would do the good ol' trick of just adding more, more, more, more...until my eye was engulfed with eyeliner. I have hooded eyes! Which I did not realize and now I am able to put on my eyeliner and it look slick and nice. I've gotten multiple compliments so thank you so much Brianna!

Just wanted to share a tip to anybody that has watery eyes or allergies. I've always had problems with my eyes watering right in the corner and messing up my eye makeup,but if I put Mac paint pot right underneath my waterline and set it with setting powder before I do anything it keeps it from happening. I don't know why just throwing that out there🤷🏼‍♀️

I love doing either white or blue on my lower waterline. A while ago I read a tip that works fantastic! After I do which ever color, I take eyeshadow in the same color and press it into my liner. It helps keep the color all day long for me! 😊

I feel like it's hard to judge a new product because it's so hit or miss. So many beauty gurus who are friends all seem to share the exact same opinion on palettes and make the same comments. I just happened to be shopping for a new gel eyeliner pot, also needed help with winged liner application, came across your vid. Because of your endorsement of Inglot, I have decided to purchase me my first one ever. I got dark purple along with the extra liquid, have yet to recieve it. I hope it is as fab as you like it. I always have trouble with the ink consistency and pigment when I use other cheap brands, such as loreal, etc. I cant wait to try this, and thank you for a detailed actually useful video, and without all the extra talk and filler that a lot of others put in their videos that I find super annoying. I really likes that she explains everything with details and when she said not to mind people that are focusing on your liner. I tried using eyeliner once and most people would say it looks bad and I'm not good at it, although it was my first time going out with eyeliner.

That's exactly how I feel! I love when certain youtubers give a lot of information because too often I don't feel like I get a it or there are certain things I don't quite understand. I feel like those few little details that are left out could be the one thing that helped me understand. Absolutely love her this is the 2nd video I've watched of hers and I have subbed as well.

You are the best teacher. Like most people I have seen that try and teach dont really go as inept as you have. They try but they end up just confusing me more and then I end up kinda hating myself just because I feel like I'll never be good at make up. But you have earned me as a fan. My eyelashes always get in the way. I'll get shit for this but my eyelashes are pretty long and medium-ish thick and the kinda go up not straight out or down. So they get in the way of any liner. Even shadow liner. Any tips?

C1nderfire yea you get a baby wipe and as soon as you apply eyeliner rub the wipe on your fingers then kinda pull at your lashes while the eyeliner is still wet and repeat

Min Lynn use less product on your brush and use your pinky like she does in the video. The problem is you have too much liquid on your brush/tip and it bleeds onto your lashes

@@maryamfayyaz32 I usually try to apply eyeliner with curled lashes with the stick from above rather than in front. It's a bit awkward feeling, but it's really difficult to apply eyeliner through lashes.

Thanks so much for the great tips! I've always used pencil eyeliner but am loving cat eyes and needed your help in how to apply liquid liner! At first I never got rid of the excess liquid and made a goopy mess at my outer eye corner . Now that I've seen your video, it makes so much sense. :)

I have been using all of these tips since first watching this video 5 years ago. I'm half Chinese but don't have a monolid like my mum does, just very hooded eyes, and 5 years ago I struggled with liner because my crease always cut it into it and messed it up. NO MORE 🙌🏽 The number 1 tip I think, is to flatten the wing's angle. It feels weird to do at first and you're thinking "this wont look good Brianna!" but I promise it does! Another top tip from this video is to start the liner from your lower lash line, _not_ your upper lash line. It might only be millimetres in difference but that's all you need to gain the space you need for that wing. If you only take 2 tips from this video, make it these two! 🤗 This video is still *The* winged liner bible for me and I've shared it with so many friends and family members 🙏🏽🥰 thank you! ❤️
