@@nicooty No not a bad question at all! But yes, the office did provide all the peripherals, but of course, you can take your own keyboard/mouse if you like, and other small things.

I go 3/5 days, currently under a hybrid work model. So it's been a great balance! But will probably miss WFH when we do go back fully :/

Damn I wish I could go to work for a United States company and live there, the problem is how hard it is to meet all the requirements when you´re not from USA, but I wont stop until I make it, right now im focused on getting experience as a software developer on my country and then moving on as I progress until I land a job in USA. But frankly, I didn't know I wanted to become a SWE. I know several people whose parents were developers so they became developers, but it wasn't like that for me It just happened because I love using tech. I honestly haven't met anyone Russian in the companies I've worked for (but that's a small sample size). Though I have read many posts of people coming to the US for work, so it's not impossible. Larger companies (FAANG) are more likely to provide VISA sponsorship for skilled workers. Sorry, can't give you a direct answer... best of luck in Uni studies! 🤞

You should see my life as a software engineer in a startup. I need to wear so many hats. I am a Developer, Tester, DevOps, Technical Writer and IT. I always laugh out loud about those guys who show off in "A day in the life as...". It's RIDICULOUS! The only way to be an excellent software engineer is to work hard, get out of your comfort zone (learn new things) and take any opportunities present (take new challenges and risks) without kissing your superior asses or step on your coworker's toes. I got promoted in one year doing that and had a lot of respects from my peers and the CEO.
