Hustler Super Z HyperDrive & Hustler Super 88 ► Final Thoughts!

Today we're shooting it straight as we do a quick demo and debrief on the Hustler Super Z with the Hyperdrive and the Hustler Super 88 stand on lawn mower. We've had both of these units for the last 6 weeks and I have to say, they've been a pleasure to use put through the test!
Listen in as we share our experience using these mowers on both our commercial and residential lawns and what we liked most about them. We also share the things that we found as areas for improvement, things that I think could be modified or tweaked just based on my experience with the unit!

Hey Brian, I am 13 year old who has a small lawn Business I am inspired by what you do. I have about 20 clients all around my neighborhood. I just got a new Honda hrn 216, a new husqvarna trimmer and I need to get a new blower. But love the channel and how you do things.

I don’t mind the fuel switch, I’m used to it on my scag, but don’t like it under the seat. It’s nice to be able to switch real quick on the fly if you run out with the tank you are on.

We put 250 hours on our Super 88 this summer and were very please with the machine. Usually we carry the 88 and a 52 inch stand on together on a trailer. With the production of the 88, we have been able to put some 2-5 acre commercial property on the same daily route as residential to improve the efficiency of that particular crew.

We mow on our farm and we bought a new Gravely last year and just bought a used Hustler Super Z to flip and now we are in love with the Hustler we're gonna probably sell 2 and get one new one, but probably a ZD1211 Kubota

Great video Brian, I have used a Hustler once their hydros are so smooth! My Toro seat is identical to the Hustler very comfortable! Hustlers aren’t big in our area but they are nice solid mowers!

Your 100% correct on the valve for the fuel tanks being kinda annoying, i have the same mower when ur ripping at 10mph and it just dies out of nowwhere it gets old,

All zero-turn mowers use "slipper piston pumps", the correct term is "variable displacement axial piston" pump. The only thing special about these is that they are massive Danfoss 20cc pumps paired with 28cc Parker TG280 wheel motors, the norm is 10cc-16cc pumps from Hydro-Gear with 18cc-24cc Parker wheel motors/Hydro-Gear planetary drive units fun fact, Danfoss owns Hydro-Gear, but no pump from the lawn and landscape world (HGs market) was big enough for Hustler 😂 Basically, because they oversized the hydraulic system soo much, it will last longer since it will not see much load relative to its maximum capability the one side effect is the massive amount of volume that the hydraulic system can move gives the machine wicked top speed

I mean basically. That coupled to the flux capacitor and the independent coaxial drive system it's able to reach ludicrous mode in 2.6 seconds!

Still can’t believe they didn’t give you the flex forks. The hydros are crazy smooth. Couldn’t get use to other brands I demoed cause of it. But the flex forks is a ride you never felt on a lawn.

Nice video brian I'm looking for a 60in for next season might consider hustler.I like the fuel tank switch myself brian it does let u know u got one tank of gas left considering I dont have a fuel gauge.nice review.My bobcat has the fuel switch down between my legs easier to get too.

I wish they would have had the optional flex forks on the hyperdrive. I have owned 6 Hustlers. I won't buy anything else than a hyperrdrive on a sit down mower. I also have a 60 inch Super S stander. I have A couple other brands Exmark, John Deere & Wright. I think Wright builds a better Stander than Hustler. I don't mind the tank switch either. I like to know how much gas I have. I did find when you run one tank out it is hard to start sometimes.

I have a 2010 Hustler Super Z with a 72 inch deck, and trying to find how to place in neutral to tow. Do you have information on how to disengage the hydraulic? I am having issues find information that I need. Appreciate the help!

Hello Brian, All your videos are great . My next zero turn will be a Super Z Hyperdrive. I was told by many owners of hyperdrive that they are the best tracking and must smooth. Are you going to purchase one? Thanks, Mike

Hey Mike, I’ll agree their hydros are super smooth. We run our Exmarks for now, not many Hustlers dealers by me! It’s definitely Exmark country here.

If its got a Briggs run don't walk RUN FASTER briggs are only made to last 3-5 years and then the cam lobes wear to the point of not opening far enough to start and run, And I have been Master Certified briggs mechanic for more than 35 years exp..

I have to disagree, Hustler has the best cut/stripe in my opinion. I have 2004 Super Z with a 27hp Kohler and I’ll put it up against any mower for cut quality, speed and comfort.
