I think YMZ are seriously onto something that could work out really great for them but comparing their 3 existing products it seems the thing anchoring them down is ironically the weight .For their size they are quite heavy and it diminishes flight performance and time. Amazing products nonetheless and cant wait to see where they go !!!

Nick, I want to see you tie some 550 paracord to a drone and fly up and around that Widdow maker branch and then pull on both ends and get that branch to break loose and come down. 😂

Nick, I suspect those little white rubber inserts on the edges of the frame are probably there for crash resistance. I can imagine them, maybe absorbing a little bit of impact force rather than transferring the full force through to the flight controller and other electronics.

I was super annoyed by those 3d printed battery mounts that never seem to fit your batteries until I got a 3d printer and now I just print ones that fit perfectly and I love them.

Nick i'm a long time watcher first time comenter. i love your vids and must thank you for letting me enjoy the hobby vicariously i would love to actually start flying FPV and get my 3 kids in to it. I have a few questions if you would allow. 1) how does someone get there brain to be able to see through the rolling static of analog? its extremely difficult for me and given that i would like to get myself and my kids in the hobby the HD quads seem like they would be hard on the budget given i have 3 kids 2) is there a 1S HD quad that is on the horizon worth waiting for? 3) is there a possibility that prices would be coming down and worth waiting on?

Perfect review as always ! Really think to buy one, esspecially after your crush test which show how durable this thing One question: Did you fly second and third flights on the same 850 Mah battery ?

oh yea, the 650s and 850s all had multiple (really majority) flights. The 720 and 660 had limited flights. I have a lot of batteries, even though I only typically show one example I have piles of batteries, most I have at least 6 of each size of each type of several brands. I do have mostly GNB batteries, as they are widely available and generally good performers based on price.

WTFOS doesn't record the OSD into the video, but it saves the OSD data to a file and you can overlay it in post. There's an online tool to do the overlay in the fpv wtf site.

for the most part yes, there are some slick mods they made to the metal parts to mount the prop protection.

Completely unrelated to the video but just recently bought a set of goggles 2 switching from analog for the first time and haven’t been able to set it up yet to see the world of difference with a quad, but I did stream this video through them and I don’t even have words for how amazing they are wish I would of pulled the plug when I first started in 2019 and I did purchase a vista back then just never got a set of goggles until now and I can’t wait to set up a quad and finally get to use that vista. Definitely will have to buy a 03 too after seeing this video stream in the goggles I don’t think I can ever go back to analog… only issue now is I still will keep my whoops analog I hope the goggles 2 will have some adapter in the future like the v1 and v2 goggles where I can use my rapid fire module with them. Having that ability to fly digital and analog when I desired on the goggles 2 would make me sell my fat sharks, they definitely won’t be seeing much use after I setup my other quads with 03’s and vista’s

@@HeliNoobRcI have not personally tried yet but I do believe you can use the vista and goggles 2 together as long as you update both the goggles and vista to a certain firmware where they added support for backwards compatibility with the original air units, for me I should be able to update to the most recent firmware since I don’t plan on using a set of v1 or v2 goggles with the vista.

Okay , I don’t know for sure . I just thought I heard that . I run analog because why have the problems of the 03 air unit . To many glitches and overheating problems for me to justify anything hd.

@@HeliNoobRc I’ve always wanted digital since the v1 goggles were released hints why I bought a vista back then, but the price of the goggles and the size of them always steered me away then they released the goggles 2 and they are the same size as a pair of analog goggles so it was just down to the price. I end up scoring these for $315 which was around what I paid for my analog goggles so I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve yet to get to test them properly but I’m pretty excited for them I’ve got high hopes

Sorry for off-topic. Help me please with a choice of FPV camera and VTX for a 5" quad(analog). Something decent/good(not the best and most expensive), better than i have(Foxeer XAT600M и Eachine TX526 600mW). Also what antenna and where to buy for goggles. Thanks a lot!!!

Couldn't say, they have the option not to include the o3 and add our preferred video system but we do need to diy the camera mounting.

I don’t know, Nick, you were seriously ripping the starship⚡️⚡️⚡️ I’m surprised you weren’t more jazzed about the quad, some of the sickest flying I’ve seen here. I think ymz is killing it. Even the Eagle, which you seemed not psyched about, I loooove that thing (minus a relatively short flight time) the Eagle is smooth and fast and so durable. And the analog lightning, also 🔥.anyway as always, love the review and appreciate your thoughts!

Its not that it isn't fun, I think they can do better to decrease weight and improve flight performance as well as flight time.

with all the great o3 whoops out there this one is pretty unappealing to me. Alot of cons I see. Weight, No Tpu parts, Carbon fiber prop gaurds, and aluminum yuck. Get an Oddity or a flywoo.
