What a cool story, old school is the only way to go. I'm a retired job shop machinist and self taught welder. I live full time in an RV and rent a 10X20 storage unit which is my shop. I run my welder and grinders with a generator.......can't work at night or when it's raining...lol. I am a analog guy in a digital world and it's so refreshing to see the younger generation working as you do.....keep up the good work......love your vids......with guys like you there is hope for humanity.

I just finished watching your Origins video with a friend of mine. I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and your resurrection video of the CB 750 really inspired both of us as we are both resurrecting a couple of Honda CB900C’s. We each had one new back in 81. We are both 70 years old and you have touched both of our lives with a renewed interest in finishing the projects. Both bikes are up and running now and I felted moved to let you know we really appreciate what you do and to keep up the great work!

I have been an old rusty motorcycle tinkerer. Love the sound of something, that was once a person's daily ride, roll down the road. I have been looking for a name for my new 20' sea container work space. "Spaghetti Monster Bike Shop", is it's name now.

Thanks for the tour of your life! Really impressed with how much you have going on and how you cover all the bases! Your shop is inspirational how organized and efficient it is for the space you have available. Love the cordless driver PVC holders. Also your own BHB sealing tape for your packages is a nice touch. The receiver for your vice and tubing bender is a great idea. And the story of your background and the experience youve gotten is really good. You are rightly proud for what you have accomplished and thank you for your channel and all you are teaching this old man who wants to ride again after too many years.

I am brand new to your channel, the first video I watched was the CB750 Rescue and the 1979 CBX 6 cylinder and I was hooked! I am 66, always had a bike since I was a youngster and a lot of these bikes were part of my history. It’s great seeing these bikes getting saved and I enjoy listening to you as the video goes along and seeing the resurrected! I drive a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500. Hey man, great story, i started out working on Hondas back in 78, loved that gobbler video. Like you i have been sort of0 0a gearhead nerd my whole life. Back in 79 ish my dad had enough of my biker ways and informed me i had to show up for a pre approved job interview with General Dynamics. Well as it turns out that was a good thing. I wound up going through a 4 year Machinist Program where i wound up a journeyman machinist and when i left i was a first class mechanical qa inspector (Nuke Submarines) . This paid off when i went back to doing auto repair because i didnt have to wait the 2 years for ASE certs. In 2007 I was ranked the top top dog world wide with ASE having 48 current certs and the top scores on testing. Now you can say BIG WHOOP but it did get me about 38K in tools and equip donated by Carquest, got to green flag a Nascar race in Charlote plus several other paid trips around the country. I can really credit a lot of this to my mentors back in Honda Land, (Easy Rider Mag used to come to that shop to photo shoot Radford (my great mentor) (well sort of, he was pretty wild) but anyway keep up the good work on saving them oldies. God Bless.

That brick building was sweet. I restored antique furniture, I had a similar life, my high school ambition was to work at home. Did some traveling, worked with a blacksmith in Japan, now live in the country in a small woodshop with wood heat. That brickhouse would be a monster to heat you betcha. I never almost never worked fast, which is why I still got all my fingers thumbs and toes. I've made waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more mistakes than you too. :D

Tried it out for myself on my Yam SRX6 tank and man it works so good! I need to catch up on your other vids. So much of your story resonates with me, from the lawnmower stuff through organising a smaller space for best efficiency. I'm semi retired and only recently got back into bikes but I've restored 4 so far and on the 5th now. Doing it just for fun but I've managed to break even or make a modest profit so far, except for the BSA 650 twin which I won't mention ;-)

Excellent video, thanks. Respect for your work ethic and the quality of your work. Very sano shop, too. I made pretty good money flipping bikes, probably because I only did enough work to make them run and cleaned them up a bit, so my time investment was minimal. (And 'cause I didn't have the tools and know-how to do much more than that!) I quickly learned that there's a lot of folks looking for a cheap bike that runs well, so turnover was quick. Currently have 3 Triumphs, a BSA, 3 Ducati singles and a Honda Dream -- all of which I bought in non-running condition. Currently riding a '70 Triumph 500 that I bought for cheap 35 years ago.

BTTF is the best movie trilogy ever made, so you automatically have excellent taste! Found you searching for CB750 info... My father just passed, at his funeral this past Saturday my uncle agreed to sell me back my dad's CB750K5 that my mom bought him in April of 75 as a wedding gift. I agreed to buy it sight-unseen, no idea the condition. Hoping it still has the kerker header on it that my dad put on... I am skeptical of most KZfaqrs at first, but keep up the solid work!

similar childhood. Built small half pipe as well. . I was always helping my dad. He had a garage with a spare parts bin, its really essential, how many things I've fixed with using stuff from that bin. Mini bikes and dirtbikes we kept fixing. you're rocking it bro. Give yourself more credit in the areas you think you lack. There are people that haven't a clue how to even use a tv remote. We are skilled in SO many things, sometimes we don't realize how good we really are.

I definitely relate to you regarding space. I'm not a bike builder like you but I'm an artist. ATM my art studio is also my bedroom, so I too have to get creative with storage etc. I might steal some of your ideas actually ;-) I really enjoyed this video, making awesome with what you have. That is the take away I have from your video. Well done My Friend, much respect.

Hi there, I just came across your rebuild videos recently and I am so impressed by them. This one has shown you as an ordinary guy with a passion for ever learning and open to new ideas. My twin and I had bikes for many years, he stripped them down but putting fuel in mine was as far as I got! Do you ever come across Suzuki rf900’s? That was my last bike and it was a beauty. Good luck to you in all you do, this video has let us get know you, thank you from here in Scotland.

I’ve watched and benefited from so many of your videos, but this is certainly one of the best because it makes all the effort behind the content real. Thanks for giving us a better sense of you and your work. Model building was a big influence on my own car and now motorcycle wrenching. The YT DIY space has given so many people more access and inspiration to get their hands dirty. Build on!

Great job BJ. Loved hearing your story. You remind me of myself in my youth but you are a lot sharper and smarter than I was back then. I am now at the age where health and decades have slowed me down quite a bit but I somehow keep on slugging. Anyway keep on keeping on and you are going to succeed and prosper in the long run. Wish you were closer as my age and treachery coupled with your youth and exuberance would really be something. If ever we bump into each other remind me to tell you about the Royal Enfield or some of the Triumphs I have gone thu the last couple of years. Or the 501 Husaberg, LOL. Best wishes and may fortune smile on you.
