Using the internationally known Brick Stitch, you will learn you to make these gorgeous diamond shape earrings using Delica seed beads. You can create bold geometric patterns when using brick stitch and the uniform, cylindrical shape of the delicas ensures that the beads tessellate beautifully together in 'brick formation'.
Be sure to watch all the way through the demo for tips, hints and extra suggestions as you can make far more from these beaded diamonds than earrings! Scroll further for the Word Chart or remember to take screen shots during the video of both the word chart and the picture graph. Alternatively, just hit the pause button where needed...
Right at the end of the video there'll be a chance to pause on both the picture graph and word chart together...if you don't manage to grab it during the video!

Thanks! Great design and tutorial. After having had earrings break, I like to bring my thread through my wire earring loop at least 3 times so the attachment will be stronger.

Hi, she listed her tutorial for the round ring in the description box. I was thinking that you could try and adapt it for the diamond shape? I’ve only been beading for a short time so I don’t know how easy or difficult it would be to do, but thought I’d suggest it to you. Best of luck if you decide to try it!

Absolutely love love the pattern and your video. I’m having trouble with the tip beads and not showing the thread. Please advise
@JoBarclayLoggie
@JoBarclayLoggie 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ramona - just wanted to check exactly where you mean ... Do you mean you can see the thread from the seed bead that sits just below the crystal at the base? Because if that's the place - it's unavoidable- you will see a little amount of thread as you pass the needle back in to the crystal. If you're seeing thread elsewhere, possibly at the top tip where you attach the ear wire - the only thread you should see is the thread that exits the top bead and passes through the loop of your ear wire. Please let me know which end you mean and I'll see if I can help....x

Love it! Wondering how to put on a (bail) at the top if I make it into a pendant. Because the pendant would gave yo fall flat and not like the earrings. Please advise
@JoBarclayLoggie
@JoBarclayLoggie 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nishrin...Sorry I've neglected youtube the last couple of days! Attaching a bail would be too different to attaching the ear wire. I've made them into pendants using jump rings and you just need to ensure that that you have the finding at 90 degrees to the beadwork and it shouldn't be a problem....x

@@JoBarclayLoggie , thank you for replying. I am still not sure if I understand it fully. What is a finding? Also, do you have a link you could maybe share in which you have done the same? Looking forward to seeing more of your fantastic work.

“Findings “ are the nuts, bolts and screws of Jewellery making…so, headpins, shepherd’s hooks, clasps etc… I’ll have a look through and see if I can find something…if not, it’s certainly something that I’ll try to demo in a new design coming up. What type of bail do you want to use - one I know that, I’ll try and explain it a little clearer…xx

Jo Barclay Loggie Thanks for answering my question. I found the app. But what I didn’t see in the description for the app, is what kind of patterns does it have templates for. Peyote? RAW? I would appreciate your review of the app
@JoBarclayLoggie
@JoBarclayLoggie 3 жыл бұрын
I find it useful for when I’m teaching workshops, but I probably don’t use it to its full potential! It’s good for planning patterns and has grids for loom work, brick stitch, peyote stitch, right angle weave and 2 drop peyote. Bead wise it has options for miyuki, swarovski, precious, star man, matubo and Toho... but not every single size/shape in each category. There are plenty of add ons that you can purchase but I just use it very simply. Hope that helps...x
