The drilling machine has some interesting possibilities. Could you use the worm gear sections to act like fluting on a drill bit or like an auger? Is there a way to design a more robust drilling shaft out of multiple pieces? What Lego piece is sharpest and would function best as the tip of a drill bit?

I love how you can see the history behind these figures just by looking at the details. The older ones seemingly are more rough-looking than the newer figures (understandably), but they also have all these scratches and knicks on them that aren’t so present on the newer ones. It’s like a hint into the love and abuse they went through under the previous owner(s). It’s why I like keeping old names and video store labels on my old games: They carry a history that a cleaner used or brand new game simply doesn’t have.

You could probably just take an extra-long 3/16" bit from a drill kit, and mill the rounded ends that go in the chuck to fit into a cross shape to fit the motor or a gear section. That diameter of bit should be just large enough to pass through the holes in any Technic brick without any awkward rubbing or scraping. Then you'd have a drill unit that actually drills.

Typical phone batteries have a capacity of 4000 mah (so says Google) so 4000 mah * 3.7v (nominal voltage of single li-ion cell) gives us 14800 mWh. Charge wattage is 150ma * 5v = 750 mW. 14800 / 750 = 19.73. so about 20 hours

What I like about this channel(and other similar channels too)is that it helped me with a project for an engineering class in highschool. Our teacher let us do anything, but the main criteria was to make some kind of "car." Something very different from other people's models(being wood or just plastic for everyday use or something), I had the ability to swap things out with no repercussions if something "broke" or just kinda mess up. I also flexed my skills and had the fastest model out of everyone

For the phone charger you were lucky your phone didn't get fried because I saw a video about a hand crank and he fried his phone with over voltage and I saw you went to 6v. You could try to use a 5v regulator to prevent over voltage. I know that when the phone starts charging the voltage can drop but the input power before charging can kill it before. The video of the person frying their phone is ElectroBOOM and he charged his phone with a hand crank charger and fried the charging circuit.
