This perfectly shows why you must have thee right team. Get this wrong and the house falls down. By the way, SDS chisels seem to wedge themselves and absorb the impact. I found that chain drilling with a 25mm SDS was often faster than a chisel.

Really not sure if I would have done that differently. "other eyes" are seeing this after the event. If I had done this, I am now sure I would have carried out in same manner. We have in the past taken out some of outer brick skin to slide second skin in.... BUT that needs more props and more bodies. Am quite sure after years of doing this that you made the right call. Well done. Have also had the experience of two houses side by side and neighbours deciding to "follow" next door only to find that the second was built entirely differently to first conversion!! Bob. WoW - another edge of my seat video by you 2. There would be those out there that would harp on about OH + S - however your methods are proven over time and not from a text book and indeed you got the job done. Question # 1 - have you used your normal mortar mix between the steel and the filler bricks or high compression grout ?? Question # 2 - what system will you be using to maintain the present gap between the steel ?? Don't worry about Mr. Tickle Pickle he or she is just taking the piss because he doesn't live in the real world and probably still has his Mummy wiping his backside because it is too dangerous for him to do it himself. Great video, big thumbs up and looking forward to the next one. Cheers. P. S. iPhones should stay in the work bus during work time 100% focus on the job at hand especially ones like this.

I bet the designer's drawings were next to useless in revealing the issues you are having. Keep your chin up and relax guys and do your usual professional job. You can't win on all of them, it is the nature of contracting.
