Why consultants here don't listen to the bride budget? A bride with a big budget they show her way under of her budget and vise versa

They were definitely more worried about pushing the designer's trunk show than honoring her budget

I won’t be original there, but it seems highly unprofessional to suggest dresses twice over budget and then insisting on selling previous one.

I never advocate anyone going over budget. My shoes, veil, jewelry, dress and everything was less than $1,500 USD. BUT what she ended up with is the most beautiful bridal outfit I've literally ever seen. Absolutely amazing. Better than any royal bride in the last century, in my personal opinion.

Budget : 1500 Consultant : proceed to show her the dresses above 2000🙂 They have definatley got good dresses under 1500 but they have to trick them by showing the dresses above their budget and emotionally force them to buy the same ... cause the bride cannot just step back after trying on beautiful dress ..that fits perfectly.

I'm proud of her for taking a stand for herself. Leaving an unhappy relationship even after engagement and congratulations to her on finding LOVE all over again 💕 it's the courage that matters, and it's important to be happy and live happily, we all deserve it. You're an inspiration 😭

This particular consultant really grinds my gears because she consistently snubs and asks to stretch the budget before they even start!

I'm glad they gave the total cost of the dress, customized jacket and veil since the usually on these wedding dress shows they would have said we can do this and this and add that and then tell the bride the dress is 1500 not mentioning how much the rest is going to cost to duplicate the look.

I thought the bride looked stunning in both dresses and very classy. They are also a lot more unusual than the one she bought originally. These are beautiful dresses and I would have expected them to cost a lot more. I would think that the veil & bespoke jacket would add a lot to the cost and we usually only hear what the cost for the basic dress is, so the price seems reasonable to me.

How much can she actually expect to get selling her old dress? Certainly not 1500? I'd be so mad if I was put in a dress over my budget, totally wrong.

I feel like they made a deal to advertise Ian Stewart's dresses for this episode so they gave the bride those dresses to try on even tho they're over her budget. :/

The dress she chose is very regal and elegant. The photos will be far more stunning than what you'd get in "modern" gowns that look like unlined corset tops with skirts stitched on.

If I got shown dresses that were twice my budget I would be seriously p****d off. That is really bad -- I understand the consultants need their commission but, as I said, that is REALLY BAD !!

Wow was a lot prettier with the jacket on, the neckline with it and mesh was a lot more beautiful! Stunning!

I always chuckle a bit to myself when someone on this show says, “Well, you only get married once in your life!” At 52% divorce rate, that doesn’t seem to be so accurate!

I'm never really floored by the dresses offered, only by a handful, but the first dress with the jacket and veil was absolutely astonishing. My nose started to burn as I realized I was about to cry at how beautiful dresses #1 and #2 looked on the bride. Very royal, but elegant dainty and classy. How I would want to look on my day.

To anyone who wants to come looking for a wedding dress at the Confetti & Lace boutique, I suggest you prepare a budget of 2000-2500 and above. Because I think most of the dresses there are just expensive. Also, when a consultant asks for your budget, only tell half of the original amount of the budget. If a consultant recommends a dress that is more than that “half” budget, you won’t be upset to pay for it because your budget is more than you informed the consultant. I think this way you can still buy the dream dress within your budget.

I would have sold the other dress immediately after I called off the engagement.

I don’t like any of the dresses. I’ve seen Ian Stuart’s show that is about his boutique, and I’ve liked all his dress, but not these. Also, if they put me in a dress that was double my budget and the consultant told me to sale my old dress to pay for it I would’ve lost it on her!Absolutely inappropriate to do that! She’d be lucky to get a couple hundred dollars for the old dress! I’m sure it’s a couple seasons old. Wouldn’t be enough to afford that new dress. I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t even get the new dress after all. Then there’s alterations that cost money too. They always forget that 🙄

I am now divorced. However, I just wanted to say that for my wedding ceremony I spent a substantial amount of money on my dress. But I used money that I had saved up from my job to pay for it myself. I don't understand some brides getting their parents to foot the bill for an expensive dress. So, I do see why her mom did not want to pay for her second dress. These are all my own personal opinions though.

I thought both dresses with jackets made her look matronly. (Am I the only one?) I liked them better w/o the jackets. Just my opinion.

The consultant did say in advance that Ian Stewart dresses are more expensive than her budget and they also said that if they found a dress that was better than her previous one, she could sell the old dress to pay for it. Nice to see another designer being promoted instead of Dando London all the time.

Why would you keep a wedding dress you'll never wear? The longer you keep it, the less it's worth. That's aside from whether you use the money towards a new dress.

Ian Stewart is a great bridal designer, so it was just wonderful to see him and his designs. The intense ornate lace style of the final choice is having a real moment; Lady Kitty Spencer'' Dolce e Gabbano wedding gown July 2021 - which is all over lace, with long sleeves and a high neck (rather like Princess Grace's) will definitely boost this trend.

Oh my God! The mother is already discussing her getting divorced. That was shocking. She was clearly put out that her daughter broke off the previous engagement. Well, much better to do it before the wedding than after. Honestly.

The first dress is gorgeous but I honestly hate this store. They are horrible to their customers. They just don’t respect them or their budget.

She should have sold the first dress before buying another one, and had the nerve to expect her mom to purchase a new one. I really hope she used the money from the first to help her mom out. 🤦

I seriously cannot stand this consultant. She never ceases to manipulate brides by putting them in dresses WAY over budget and then getting them emotionally attached and smiling while telling them it is completely unaffordable for them.

As a consultant I would feel ashamed to tell the price of a dress which is double the price of the budget. This shop is almost always disrespectful to the bride’s budget
