Seeing the new dress only on the dress form was a disappointment. Seeing both dresses side by side, I would have gone with the more simple, classic one -- the new dress. The remade mother's dress looked awfully busy with the distraction of the flowers on the skirt and the scalloped sweetheart neckline. Brides sometimes forget that THEY should be the focus, NOT the dress! The more classic dress would have shown HER to be the focus. Hope the bride and the mom don't regret this choice.

I just wanted to say the same. The skirt kind of looked like one of those Barbie cakes when the skirt is the actual cake and the torso of the doll sits on top. It looked much better on the initial sketch.

It's unfair to the bride because the mother chose her own dress and the new bride doesn't get to do that. I'm a mother and I feel that is selfish.

Wow, I feel like the borrowed dress bodice was beautiful but the tacky flowers everywhere on the skirt ruined it for me. I wish we got to see her in the something new dress because that seemed to be more of what she wanted. I feel like she just picked the borrowed dress to please her mom even though she didn't like it as much.

The borrowed dress looked more interesting than the new dress.The flowers sewn into the skirt were special. The only thing I would have done was loosened the skirt up and made it more flowy.

Most people disagree with you. It is such a vacuous show, anyway, what doesit matter? This is airhead stuff for the most part. Apart from the big girls and those suffering illness. Complaining about this is like finding fault with a few loose hairs in a hairdo. Try experiencing a really hard life for a week, and see how little this matters.

In a million years I cant imagine my grandmother raised in the 1920’s say that she would like to see my hips featured as I had awesome hips showing on my wedding day. She was offended by the word pregnant. It was “in a family way” for her. Nor can I imagine my mother who came of age in the 1940’s and married in the 1950’s and commented to me one time that the vertical striped skirt “made my hips look big”

So might take on Say Yes to the Dress and shows like it as I'm usually the one that's rooting for the bride want them to think outside the box and you know find the right fit for them you can always tell when they are wearing the dress you can see it in there facial features they'll switch and sway from side to side some will start dancing as they're walking towards their Entourage to show him the dress but this time when I saw the sketch of the Something Borrowed I was like I sure hope we get to see her daughter in it when it's done because now seeing it finished and complete I would absolutely adore address like this I don't know if the wedding dress but for sure it's a beautiful beautiful dress all right everyone Jasper pup and I are sending lots of love blessings healing prayers to all the families around the world right now have a blessed and amazing day let's remember to remind each other that kindness is free and no that self-love will set you free 💃🐶🥰💕🥸 🙏🌎💚🌍💚🌏🙏

The end dress was not NEARLY as cute as the one she tried on!! It’s a shame the mom put so much pressure on her to chose HER dress. She even said how happy she was that she chose MY dress. That’s exactly it, it’s your dress not hers. The fit wasn’t good with the skirt proofing at the top waiste area oddly, and the one she tried on was just stunning. It’s a shame she had to take a dress that was patched together in a week instead of a dress that was designed and took much longer

Nope. I'm a former dance teacher and competitive dancer - bop is essentially the same as east coast swing, but shag (sometimes called North Carolina shag) is different (see kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qZ2IhLSmv5iUkqs.html) and is very different from what the mom in this video demonstrated (which is actually more similar to bop).

Luckily when I got a gmail notification response, sportswear designer Kelly Dooley was the on SYYTD, this clip I guess is from a show called Something Borrow Something New and when I saw that on my notification, was able to find the designer on the show is named Kelly Nishmimoto(sp) they do look a lot alike!
