She's a sweetheart but this isn't even close to the dress a bride would wear in India. Even distant relatives would show up looking more heavily dressed than the bride, it's sad that such a famous show with a big budget couldn't do better than this collection.

People have been mentioning that this shop has the worst selection of bridal wear and for the first time I have to agree with them. The clothing sets that they showed her are the pieces we wear as guest to weddings. The bridal wear are always over the top beautiful, has bright collors and are full of beads. Maybe it the buget of the bride but she deserves a better dress.

This episode is such a disappointment, especially considering how lively and delightful the bride is. They didn't seem to have a lot of choices, almost as though they were choosing dresses from a limited "ethnic" section. Usually they highlight the designer, point out the quality and craftmanship of the details, and talk about the embellishments. This was missing that special moment of adding accessories and doing a reveal. In this one, they didn't seem to think the designers deserved credit for their work. They also didn't take the time to explain the bridal styles common with the culture, the words that many viewers wouldn't be familiar with, or any of the culture. Luckily, she chose a beautiful dress that suits her perfectly, but they should have been able to offer fancier options for that price range. Nazranna Diaries showcases much more beautiful work, clearly has a bigger selection, and can do custom work if given enough lead time. Their videos are not quite as high of a production quality, but I would far rather watch a channel that represents the amazing workmanship of their culture.
@erin6945

I don't think it could be considered an ethnic section if the whole store is Indian/South Asian. Wouldn't the ethnic section in this case be white European/American dresses?

Everyone saying “this isn’t how it is in India, Indian designs are more flashy” or “we wear these for Diwali” or “this isn’t a good representation of Indian designs” 1.) she’s not in India, she’s in Malaysia and it looks like the wedding will be happening in Malaysia. 2.) Not everyone’s priority is to spend a huge budget on their wedding. A lot of people like to keep it simple so they can indulge on a nice honeymoon or buy their first family home together sooner. 3.) everyone has a different taste. Truthfully, Yh these wouldn’t be the dresses I reach for. But the bride clearly likes them. So why’s everyone being a Debbie downer and shitting on her happiness by saying things like she could have got something better from India.

Sorry to say but this are the worst dresses I have seen so far for any bride, being an Indian we know how much beautiful and amazing dresses are available in Indian market that too in budget. Mostly such types of dresses are worn by guest in our weddings. This are very out dated ones in Indian fashion market. Assuming this is out of India can imagine it will be costly when the same dress will be available in half of the price in India. Apart from this the bride is absolutely amazing.
