They have an evening wear section so while it was a shame that she didn't look there the bottom line is that her family would not have liked anything she chose opting for the traditional look. I think she needs to rethink along with her husband to be how they want their wedding to look although I strongly suspect that the groom will be more on board with the traditional wedding style.

In Indian culture... traditional attire for the various ceremonies is non-negotiable even though they live in America. This bride knew that but just wanted something different. She also wasn't paying for the dress (more than likely) so her chances of actually picking the dress she loved wasn't gonna happen. Even if she mustered enough courage to say yes to the 1st one it would be a lot of tension and drama. No one need in that mess especially on your wedding day

This is right there with the episode where the bride wanted a black dress for her wedding and made her mom crazy. I think the difficulty is that they are looking at an all-white dress which is what a widow wears in their culture and it is hard to overcome that emotion and imagine something else when you see your family member in that type of outfit. Also the white tones in most wedding dresses look terrible on people of color. Not surprised at the outcome.

Great content, thanks for sharing. My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, Really love her so much, i can’t stop thinking about her. I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life but to no avail, I’m frustrated because i literally can't envision my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

Is white the color of mourning? Then why do many brides get married in white dresses even in India? They knew which store they were going to, why were they looking for a dress that couldn't be there? They knew that the bride wanted a dress in the style of West traditions
@raenfairy
@raenfairy 10 ай бұрын
In their culture white is the colour of mourning, most Indian brides don't wear white. They're typically very colourful, not always, more often than not you'd see a bright Indian bride as opposed to natural or white.

India is not a small country or even having one ethnicity. There’s 29 different states with so many more variations among people within them. If one culture find wearing white acceptable, some might not. It’s about diversity.

@@raenfairy Yes, national Indian wedding dresses are very colorful, everyone knows this. I was referring to brides who choose a dress of European culture as their second dress, or their only outfit. There are such brides and even in this show they were. And none of them obsessed with white

@@babuyadav2336 That's right. Thanks for the addition. India has a large and diverse culture. In addition, now a lot of things in India are changing very rapidly, many people are expanding their outlook on life. And I would not judge all Indians by one family, which, having moved to America, seems to have preserved in their views so much that they do not allow the bride to choose a second wedding dress herself

Not if she isn't paying for it. The one with the money gets a say, no matter what you think. Even if it is to allow her to get what she wants. And those dresses were terrible. She should go to a different kind of store to get more of a selection. You think that her and her family's ideas are so different. But they are not. They both want bling and color for $4000. It is her mistake that she chose to go to Kleinfeld.

And, yes, those dresses came in colors but it is so hard to imagine anything but what you are wearing. Her family needs to be booted out of her life. They went home and ate and laughed and laughed and laughed and high fived and sang "we won!" while she sat in her bedroom and cried her eyes out...I'd bet anything!

Her family obviously doesnt want her to wear a dress, they want the traditional one. Jesus Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again the third day. And that we must all realize we're a sinner and turn to Jesus and trust and believe that He died for your sins was buried and rose again the third day but trust in Him alone to save you from your sins and hell. Our sins separate us from God and God can't allow any sin in heaven and we sin so Jesus had too die for our sins so we would have a way to heaven. He took the punishment of our sins upon Himself.
