Oh, go jump off a bridge! No, really - that's what they do on Bridge Day in Fayetteville, WV over the New River Gorge. This is a huge bridge spanning a 3000' foot wide gorge that is nearly 1000' deep. On Bridge Day they shut down the highway and start jumping off! We were there to watch.

I attended Bridge Day several times in the 1980s and 1990s. It was at Bridge Day in 1994 that I saw Bob Denver from the television show Gilligan's Island. At the time he and his wife were living in Princeton, West Virginia.

Great video! Nicely done. Did you all do the bridge walk or repelling? We just did the bridge walk (see my video) and it was a rush. I couldn't image repelling or base jumping from it.

One i was there yesterday and the only deaths was a worker building the bridge
