This song was played on a funeral many years back for a very close friend of mine. He passed away far too young yet managed to leave a much stronger imprint than most people would do in a hunderd years. Hearing and seeing your cover of it made me a bit emotional about the whole thing, but in a very good way. Thank you so much for that.

What a hauntingly beautiful interpretation of this classic! Most performers who cover it don't stray far from the way Simon & Garfunkel sang it, and you literally breathed new life into it. What's more, you make it sound like you're singing right to me. Ironically, you posted it at a time when I couldn't listen to it, which is why I'm only commenting on it now. It would've been a huge comfort then, and it still is now. Thank you so much for just doing your thing.

Takes about 12 hours to mix most tracks from Anne; this one was mainly making sure there was nothing detracting from the from the vocals 😁

Your a cappella covers are absolutely outstanding! Two things I noticed, in the 1st solo spot I could tell you found the spirit of the music and it seemed as if your eyes got a little misty. And I swear the grumpy clone smiled! A true inspiration of sound!

I sing this in the shower 2-3 times a week and have yet to make it past "sail on silver girl" without full-on tears 😅 Then again I associate it with someone special who's no longer in my life so I don't think I'll ever get through that line in one piece. Great song.

While I can always count on Anne to bring the heat with vocal arrangements, this is truly one of the clearest examples of her mastery. I'll be studying the harmonies for a long while. The mixing is astounding and really makes the song her own, combining that real up close breathy quality with a surrounding, ethereal reverb. Anne's got a better handle on how to bring out the best performance from her voice when singing layered harmonies than most folks have with just a melody. This song means a lot to me, and I'm wicked moved to hear all that heart in it. Thank you, Anne!

"About" 40 years ago, I went out with a lifeguard working at a public pool who sang soprano. Cloning wasn't easily available, so she did the next best thing: After closing down the pool, she would sing this song as she was cleaning the shower room. High ceiling, tiled floors and walls... the acoustics were amazing. Thx Anne 🙂.

Gosh I'm glad I put headphones on for this, the spatial audio is sublime. Such a great song and definitely the right idea to include the instruments, I think the beat and the bass always elevate BOTW into something really very special. Your arrangement and performance are spot-on. 💖

Anne, I just wanted to say how much your Bridge cover today has meant to me. I've been immensely stressed or 6 months due to what will (not certain now) be a forced move at work, in a job I love to a place I don't, taking me away from a place I've come to call home. Ultimately the stress got to me the other day, and despite several mini-breakdowns over the last few months, I ended up in hospital with symptoms of cardiac arrest brought on by the stress. It's not certain anything will change, and ultimately I may have to hand my notice in, because it's clear from my body's reaction that I can't go through with it. But as a bit of background, I'm a huge Brian Wilson and Paul Simon fan - however, I think Art's vocals take Bridge from being an 11/10 to a 12. Your interpretation was other-worldly, incredibly calming, and just helped me cry and release some pent up stress. You're an immensely talented and sweet person; I hope you never lose sight of the impact your art can have. All the best from England.

so bloody clever. how does she do it? she's schizophrenic? has multiple personalities in her and lets them out one at a time to sing a part? and the acting - subtlest little changes of expression speak volumes, make the whole thing overlaid with a kind of light supertext of mockery sometimes or whatever... a total show... they call anything a show these days... or a song.... or music.... this really is all of them. It is truly music, truly songs and truly a show, a presentation.... this is good value, dudes.. :) And that's without saying anything about the sound engineering, the video cutting/splicing etc..... It's an awesome job.

Beautiful rendition! I recall my wife and I singing this as an offering at my nephew's baptism. It has always been one of my favorite songs of all time!
