Hi Bridgeco, I loved this premiere. I am a big Chucky fan. I own all the original movies on Blu ray. I love how Chucky is depicted here as more of a master manipulator this time around. He's more effective that way, instead of just running around killing people with a knife. After all, why kill the entire population of a town when you can easily get the townspeople to turn on each other? I also love how Chucky acts more like the Joker here, sowing the seeds of chaos, while watching these horrible people tear themselves apart by exposing their secrets. Chucky doesn't really have to lift a finger to kill these people. They'll do that all by themselves. I also like how the series is already finding a perfect balance between the humor & the scares, something that the movies have always struggled with, the exception being the first "Child's Play" which was a straight up horror film. Loved both "Curse" & "Cult of Chucky" because they had the right balance of humor & scares. Plus, with a TV show, Don Manceni can finally realize some of his original ideas for the franchise & operate on a much larger canvas. And, we will finally get an origin story for Charles Lee Ray. What are your thoughts?

@12:07 Hah! That's exactly what I said. But also I just realized the writers shoehorned that line about him being proud (having pride) into the scene because the conversation quickly becomes about him being gay. So yes.. He is proud in more than one way. That was actually pretty good writing.

I kid you not i was 4 and my dad was flipping channels one night when he landed on the ending sequence od childs play 2 and i was TERRIFIED seeing a melting chucky . That scarred me for years but then as i grew older i began to fall in love with the franchise. Seeing the show and especially that one sequence in episode 1 when someone dies, chucky's face...it legit took me way back to 1994 and terrified me. SO GOOD

When the dad took chucky I would have just went to bed

I’m a year late but I think the body being stopped in front of them was to see their reactions. I think for some reason the detective was already suspicious of Jake so she wanted to see what he’d do.

The horror scenes live up to what I expect as a Chucky fan but that preteen anxiety music needs to kick rocks. Music in horror should not have lyrics over it in my opinion.

This got me super Hyped. I am happy i didn't come into it with my Expectations high, because this blew me away. Very excited for so many of these Characters storyies to form, and it already feels so chucky. A lot of fans are comparing this to Curse and Cult, but I don't see it and if some do.. I don't think it's a bad thing. Chucky is 11/10 and brad makes that possible, his voice is so mint. Love all the characters and where this first episode took them, and as i said before, where those Arcs are going. If the 1st episode is already this good, I can' imagine what kind of shit is coming.. Already watched it 4-5 times.
