Eloise has also treated Penelope as a sidekick, an audience to her. She never really paid attention to her. She was never really a good friend to Penelope. It was her own nonsensical actions causing the problem that had to lead to Pen losing all she had built or telling something that would've saved both. And Cressida, that bullied Penelope, can remain the mean girl she is because nothing will convince me to like her.

I think you have that backwards; Eloise takes Pen for granted. If you’ve paid attention to the past two seasons you could see all the times she never listened to Pen. Even this season Eloise said that Pen to be a spinster, even when last year she finally realized that Pen loves society and the season (that scene in the daffodil field)

I hard disagree on Eloise & Penelope. Eloise and her self-centered & self-righteous behavior is so annoying to me. Gurl, you created the whole issue by chasing after LW, knowing very well the Queen could punish LW & was after her. I Love the Pen and Colin scenes.

I'm the same when I watch these love stories. I remember rewatching the "I burn for you" scene from season 1 and sobbing because I don't think that will ever be me. So this season especially, I relate to Penelope. Particularly when she asked Colin to kiss her.

I love that we're learning more about Cressida. I've always hoped that she was more than just a mean girl. I do appreciate that she befriended Eloise after Pen ruined her last season. I love a good redemption arc and for me I would love to see Cressida have one.

I don’t really think Pen took Eloise for granted. I feel it was more the other way around. Eloise never really listened to pen in past season. She always made everything about herself. She left her brothers wedding to go meet with Theo even though Pen had warned her that it would be frown upon and could put her family name at risk. Pen has never really hid the fact that she is a romantic at heart yet Eloise is somehow shocked that Pen wants to get married. Pen saying she would be a spinster was about low self esteem & not believing she would find anyone. Pen very much wants love. Eloise also doesn’t seem to appreciate the fact that her status and family supporting her gives her an advantage that other girls…like Pen and even Cressida don’t have.

I'm a little dissapinted that the main focus is not on Colin and Penelope in this season. In past seasons the main couple were in the center of the show. Sure Colin and Penelope are friends since season one, but I miss real, deep conversations between them... about their thoughts and dreams... in the book you can read how the relationship really deepens. I ship them both so hard, I enjoy every scene with them on screen. And for me there is a lot of chemistry and sparkles. In this episode I enjoyed the scene in the tent when Colin is staring at Penelope licking her lips the most.... gosh... he wanted himself to be that sugar on her face so bad..... Can't wait for your reaction on the next one 😊

I think that we don’t have to be firmly team Pen or team El. I just feel like..idk. Sometimes friendships are messy and I feel like they both had points and were also both wrong in ways. 🤷‍♀️ I really hope they make up soon!

Personally I think it’s the other way around. Eloise took Pen for granted a little. After all, she never truly listened to her at all and was never able to see what Pen truly wanted in her life. She controlled their conversations most of the time and never really asked Pen how she was doing in her own life. All she cared about was finding LW and women’s rights, always ranting about them 24/7 and thinking she is trapped in society when in reality, she’s one of the luckiest girls to live in this time period. Plus, in a way, she always thought Penelope would never marry just like Portia thinks and automatically assumed they would be spinsters together. Even in the last episode, she said how it was unlike Pen to search for a husband, showing that she never paid attention to her wants and desires at all. After all, Pen did mention marriage to her a few times if I remember. But Eloise just glossed it out. Penelope may not be the perfect friend but Eloise is far from perfect too. She has zero idea of how to read the room properly.

@@garlantyrell6368 true cause when Pen told Eloise about Marina well she said that was a maid that was maybe with child that was kinda a hint to Pen being LW cause soon after it she talked about it in the paper and that was also a hint that Pen liked gossip cause that wasn't her business .. i don't know for me Eloise is smart enough to notice all those things so that's the proof that Eloise didn't really paid attention to Pen or at least didn't think she was capable of being LW wich is worst (to me)
