The music sheet has got to be the most romantic gesture in this entire series. Cause it's a gift saying "I see you. I hear you" and for women that's the most beautiful thing you can do for us.

Spoilers for Queen Charlotte: Pom-Pom is the best gift to me. George not only rescued Pom-Pom from Dr Munroe, but that was also the beginning of Charlotte’s appreciation of “deformed bunnies 😂😂😂 Sometimes, the best gifts are the ones’ which’s value it takes us time to realise, the gift encourages personal growth and I loved that it was George’s way of saying they will not both be alone/lonely/caged for much longer.

I’m honestly so glad for the recasting. Watching the first two seasons again Francesca is barely there and when she is she really fades to the background and honestly very plain. Not offense to the other actress, but Hannah is SO perfect for the roll and brings her to life in such a beautiful way

I think her family adored Lord Samadani simply because he was the choice from the Queen - much like in season 1 Daphne was set up by the Queen with her nephew. Francesca even told her mother that she would marry whomever the Queen chose for her. I think John was very bold in showing up without a formal introduction and asking to sit with Francesca. Her family obviously didn't see it that way but all of his actions - obviously as the audience we see more - were very bold for someone who is so introverted and avoids society unless necessary (showing up without a proper introduction, the music he had redone for her, asking her to dance and Penelope and Colin's wedding).

as an autistic person, i don’t think it’s necessarily that it’s popular to say something is autistic coded so much as it is simply that autistic people want to see themselves represented the same way neurotypical people do. so we will point out when we see ourselves in characters. what is upsetting is that neurotypical people will get territorial and offended by this and insist that everyone must be neurotypical by default unless it is explicitly stated that the character is autistic (even when the diagnosis may not have existed at the time and even when many people go undiagnosed). the reactions we often get from neurotypicals where people come for us in our comments (where we truly just want to celebrate with other autistic people that we feel seen) just reinforce the discrimination we face. like it truly feels like every time we dare to say, “this character feels autistic to us; i’m happy for us,” a chorus of bullies come for us instead of just scrolling past. it’s really disheartening. meanwhile, neurotypical people have practically the entire catalogue of all characters ever made to feel seen in (as if we were even stealing from them, as if that is possible), but our simple joy in feeling represented triggers them to come at us. it’s honestly so demoralizing to not be able to just experience and relate the same as most of you guys, without someone always raining down on our joy.

Francesca and John are definitely my favorite. I agree with bridging where you are at to meet your partner’s needs. My husband is more extroverted and enjoys outings and social events whereas I am more reserved. I encourage him to go and have fun and he plans ahead of time to make sure there’s a place I can go be by myself for bit or have a bag of de-stressors to help me make it through if the event is long. ❤️

John bonded with Francesca over her special interests. Autistic people often bond over our special interests. So even though John's special interest is most likely not exactly the same as Francesca's he understands how important it is to her. He is speaking her love language. As an autistic person when someone listens to me talk about the things I love it lights me up inside. Francesca is obviously obsessed with music to the extent she can pinpoint exactly what is wrong with that song (at least in her opinion). Most people would not be that obsessively interested in music to intuit that. I have a brother who is also autistic and his special interest is music, has been for decades. He talks about music the same way Francesca does. I hope the writers of this show come out and express that Francesca and John are meant to be coded as autistic. There are lots of introverts in fiction. We could use some outward representation for ASD1 individuals. We are so stigmatized, so marginalized. Most people do not understand what autism looks like, Francesca, with her charm, musical talent (without being a savant), is a wonderful representation of what autism can look like.

Probably your next Bridgerton video is (and, if not, please consider it!) about Pen's secret, the strain put in her and Colin's relationship, and her big reveal at the end. I think it's very interesting how the storyline tackles issues of trust, confidence, expression and freedom, and the radical change it will mean for future seasons.

I fell in love with my husband the first time we met. We met at a comic bookstore. He talks with his hands and he launched into a fully detailed description and analysis of the dogfights in Top Gun, using his hands to mimic their manoeuvres. He is the son of a pilot and I am the grand-daughter of a pilot. It was a conversation I had never been able to enjoy with anyone outside of my family before that day. We then segued into discussing Superman’s flight sequences in live-action and TAS … I am a massive Superman fan and I realised that day that I want to talk to him every day for the rest of my life. 10 years in and the best part of every day is our conversations, be they 5 mins or 5 hours. Quality time and acts of service are very important to him, quality time and words of affirmation are very important to me. We meet at quality time to connect, bridge gaps and repair ruptures.

My giving and receiving love languages are actually very different. Gifts and service are at the bottom of my list (this has been a big point of contention over the year with my parents because they have always been generous in their providing for me and my dad would always get me small things here and there and it took me a long time to see that they were showing love in their own way) but I love giving gifts to other and serving others. But receiving is quality time because I’ve had a lot of people brush me off or abandon me so it means a lot when someone takes the time to just be with me.

I think John and Francesca's story is so cute! 🥰 A bit funny too, bcause I can relate to certain things here. 🤣As for the question at the end: I was more an acts of service mixed with words of affirmation type of girl, but now physical touch entered the chat not too long ago. Nowadays I like to hug the people I love for more than 10 quick seconds a bit more often (quick hugs or no hugs at all, used to be the norm for me. Yes, that I used to do with my *very small* circle.😅). I have not found love yet, no one has reciprocated my affections thus far, but I know now this is how I give and like to receive love at least with my close friends and family. Loved this video! ❤

As a child, I receive gifts from my parents, whether I want them or not. I give back with words and acts of service: thanking them and doing some of their chores for them. It's a cycle. I switch gears with my siblings, I give them everything, from quality time to physical touch (this I find the hardest to give in a conservative upbringing and my feeling/emotion of disgust). I also switch unknowingly whenever performance strikes or a truly endeering thing or person moves me to hug them or be nicer to them. I love to give and receive love. It's priceless.. mostly. Romantic genres seem to be a talking point for these

I'd rule out autism because he DID register her meaning and successfully adjust within the same conversation... It takes my husband hours, days or weeks to respond to my ques... If he catches them at all. Sometimes, I explain myself and he just restates his position unchanged because he can't see my point as logical as all.

That is my experience with a friend on the spectrum. I saw introverted enthusiasm in the clips. Talking about what you love rather than chitchat about nothing is very introverted. We do not need all that chitchat. We go straight to the core when we meet likeminded people with similar interests.

As an ace (and maybe aro too) women, I've never "courted" and never been in a romantic relationship. The closest I came to was at college with a male friend that felt like some kind of "soul-mates" friendship. Anyway, I guess you are right about giving love the way one would like to get it. For me that would be really listen to the other one, take them seriously, learn to know and respect their boundaries. And at the same time, coming from a toxic family system, these are what I crawe(d) for and never really got. That special friend was the first person I really felt receiving that from. And I still can't understand how on earth he was so good to me. I have severe mental health issues, lots of self-hatred and nearly no self-esteem. I genuinely don't understand.

Love your videos! Would you ever consider reacting to the new Percy Jackson show? It seems like something you could pull a lot out of, especially to do with kids and family relationships, and it has some things in common with other fantasy series you have reacted to like Harry Potter or LOTR. :) And you seem more likely to react to shows on here than on Cinema Therapy, but doing it with Alan would also be really cool, kind of like the exception that was made for Avatar which was great!

Its all reflexes senses urges witch are pressure points cravings witch open cell receptors and reason and learned behavior and memory. .

Frankly ............. the way I like to receive love as owner of an ADHD brain, chronic illnesses and "gifted" with a mess of a family .... 😢 is to have my boundaries accepted without having to fight for every damn bit. Which SHOULD be basic decency level in general public. But reality doesn't run on "should/could/would/might". It's pathetic that my bar is on level with the ground and yet, there's ridiculously few ppl at all managing just that. And the moment we're talking "men and romantic relationships", it's barely happening. And if it is, then that man is partnered and thus, no candidate at all. Life is particularly rough for some of us. Still thriving within my tiny means and the help of radical acceptance of things as they are. 🌱🍃 yay?

I feel autism vibes from both Francesca and John right now. She has a hyper focus on music which she struggles to shut up about, "disobeys" rules like not randomly stopping people or disappearing from balls, is flustered and anxious in social situations etc. He is literal minded, vaguely socially awkward and doesn't really see subtext. And they've found eachother 4:38
