Fan favourite** not the best. S1 was the best in terms of writing. People just like S2 for Kate and Anthony. Outside of their relationship, every other plot line was forgettable.

btw, all your comments about the rules of society at the time are pretty spot on. just a clarification about the Featheringtons: since Lord Featherington died (the father) and the estate cannot be inherited by a woman, the oldest living *male* relative inherits it (this new younger dude Jack Featherington). In the meantime, Lady Featherington doesn't actually own anything so even if she had the money, she couldn't give it to her daughter's suitor's family. so this is why she was stalling - to make sure the other family didn't pull out of the arrangement while waiting for their money. and yes, once the new Lord Featherington arrived, he could have decided to keep everything to himself and throw her and her daughters out. him vowing to provide for them instead is why Pen is happy. she isn't looking for drama ;)

26:03 no no no. quite the opposite in fact😂violet (mama bridgerton) didn’t rlly address anthony’s love life at all in S1 but in S2 all she wants for him is to give love a chance. because anthony saw how devastated violet was at the loss of edmund (papa bridgerton), he’s high key trynna avoid falling in love cuz he’s afraid of losing it. it goes a lot deeper ofc but that’s the basis. thank u for attending my ted talk🙏

Violet (Anthony's mom) always wanted him to be happy. In fact she's one of the few mothers that actually wants her children to marry for love and not status. Probably because she herself actually loved her husband and didn't just marry him for status and stability. Anthony feels he needs to find the perfect wife because after his father died, he became the man of the house and all the responsibilty fell on him. His future wife will lead the household with him. She will be the Viscountess

Anthony has a wife check list. Love isn't on it. He made it clear in his presentation to Edwina that he doesn't believe in the same things she does (love). But she snubs Kate and gives in to Anthony.

As the eldest, Kate gets the title “Miss Sharma,” that’s why Edwina is introduced as “Miss Edwina Sharma” because she is younger. Lady Featherington didn’t own the estate, once her husband died his title and his estate went to the closest male relative, that’s why they are waiting for him to arrive so he can provide for them. He doesn’t have to but they’re hoping he will.

13:06 I actually love that Kate doesn't get a first name introduction. And that is because the eldest unmarried daughter does not get a first name introduction. Getting a first name introduction is like an announcement that you're not the oldest daughter
