I'm with you on this season. I loved this season. Their love story felt very mature and emotionally layered. I liked the complex emotions they had to deal with, such as loving someone even when you're so angry with them, but loving them so much you find your way through it, like they did. I also loved all of the focus on female dynamics this year, not just Pen and her double life, but her and her mum and sisters, her and Eloise, Violet and Lady Danbury, Pen and Madame Delocroix.If that's the result of the new female showrunner then I'm all for it. Hopefully Colin and Pen will continue to have a decent role to play next season. I think it's clear who is next and I'm excited to see that unfold. It's just a shame it'll take 2 years!

Yes. I loved Kate and Anthony, but the actors here and the writing just made Colin and Penelope just so beautiful. And I am so glad that they had taken steps to repair Portia and Penelope's relationship as they are associated with the Bridgertons now and just for both of them as characters.

This season was the one I had the most emotional investment in & it pretty much met my expectations. Also no spoilers at all, but all I will say as a book reader is that this was not an end to the series and that what you saw at the end were potential set ups for what could be either Benedict’s, Francesca’s or Eloise’s season.

I agree, this season didn’t disappoint! I cried so much and the stakes felt so high in the second part. I absolutely loved the development of Pens relationship with her family, especially her mom, urgh it was everything !!! I specifically loved Colin’s love declaration, because he wasn’t angry or shouting like Anthony/George/Simon, (but I loved theirs too), he was gentle and firm and meant every word ! Adding the plot of Whistledown made the season feel, in a way for more mature, higher stakes as I said before, it adds more dimension to Pen’s Character which has always been my favorite, and it’s just so rewarding seeing a wallflower get the life/love we all deserve in the end❤

I loved your reactions for this season!! You understood everything! Thank you! You saw through Colin. There's been a lot of hate comments about him of ppl who didn't understand his feelings and his inferiority complex. All he knew was that he loved Pen and was going to marry her, never doubting that, but he did have the right to feel hurt and take time to process his feelings. And it only took him 2 weeks. ❤ I loved this season so much, a lot of characters had great development, it was empowering for women and Colin being a sweet green flag and being a bit envious of his badass wife, then accepting it in such a vulnerable, beautiful speech where he says that he can't believe a woman like her loves him... ahh how I cried. Can't wait for s4 to see Polin happy and to find out the name of their baby!

total agreement with you about Colin! Like, I'm sure the writers could've added even more depth to him if there had been more scenes but tbh, all of this actions & words made sense given his past experiences & the society they live in. I mean, he thought he truly loved Marina & then found out through a PUBLISHING that she was hiding a pregnancy from a different man and that she never felt anything for him. AND Penelope had warned him against marrying her but he still tried. To be honest, that alone would've been enough for any man to lose it & for someone like Colin who is more sensitive than his brothers....bruh, like come on.

This season made me cry BALLS it made me feel so seen and everyone was complaining about her body and how a skinny persons body would make better sense but news flash to all even fit men like chubby/ plus size girls and seeing them together was so so perfect ❤ in a perfect world they are my Trisha and Moses 😂

I have never been this early to anything in my life. I have been loving your Bridgerton reactions so much. I cried at the last scene bevestig this ending really felt like an end to the entire series not just this season.

If you really mean to read the books, I recommend Francesca's story❤ "When he was wicked", not only will you understand why Francesca got all tongue-twisted but may also ponder if the readers of the Bridgerton books might have too, been shook...and you'd be right. 😅 Oh, how I can't wait to see how Season 4 will unfold with this twist in Francesca's new love interest.

If I wanted to be 100% honest, as a whole season of a show overall that was supposed to focus on 1 couple, this season wasn't as great as the previous ones. We needed sooooo many more scenes of them. HOWEVER, goddamnit, if what we did get with Polin (with Francesca & John as a cherry on top) didn't absolutely CARRY this season on their backs! EVERY SINGLE SCENE of them together was so amazing, beautiful, stressful, heartbreaking, etc. Luke & Nic deserve ALL the flowers for this series, they are such magnificent actors! They are so good & I love how their relationship was written that I will still dig my heels in and put this season in 2nd place after Kanthony's. We haven't gotten through all the relationships yet but Polin is really the one that has the deepest place in my heart

See, now this kind of comment I appreciate. I have been seeing so much negativity and people writing the entire season off because of one or two things they didn’t like or because of editing/cinematography choices. It’s absurd. I understand wanting certain things to play out differently of want more of Polin, but to say that it was crap, it’s insane to me.

@@DjevojkaSaUne Yep! For me, the only REAL problem of the season was not enough Polin. To my knowledge, ppl have actually counted how much time they are on screen and it's much lower than the other couples. And of course, there is ALWAYS room for further character development & exploration but if you only watch Polin's scenes, they wrote them & their story VERY well. In a technical & structural sense, Season 1 is definitely the best in terms of cinematography, lighting, costumes, etc. Polin beyond deserved the quality of S1's world. I mean, the gold standard is Queen Charlotte where every aspect was tight & who didn't cry at the end. But as a romance series, the ultimate focus is the couple and IMO, Saphne is definitely the worst pair - their story didn't make sense, I don't buy the chemistry even tho they are both very good actors, and the SA was handled terribly. And none of these things have to do with wanting them to be perfect ppl or anything. Again, if the focus of a romance series is the couple, then S3 beats S1 SO EASILY.

You need to read the books, form the duke and I, Anthony's and Kate's, then colin and Penelope, it will give you alot of info,into the show, but there is no Queen Charlotte in the books. There is 8 books ,1 for each sibling and the happily ever after about violet as well, and there is a Queen Charlotte book as well. I think Lady Danbury knew it was pen,from s1,but kept quite. I also think we only have 2 more seasons and maybe a reunion special with violet getting remarried and the whole ton is invited. I think it's Eloise and Benny's next season and then in 2 years it will be hy and Greg's season. 👋💕🇦🇺

Your reactions are great! As fir reading the books i don't know what to advise, i have read them all and i feel that didn't help with this season. Also it's caused me some anxiety about both Fran and Benedict's seasons. I can't see how some of the main themes can be covered as i'd like which makes me afraid that Bridgerton will change beyond recognition. Oh well i'm sure i'll cope. As for this season there was much i loved but the glittery fabrics, modern makeup and speach ( what makes you tick) really jarred. What i really wanted at the end was Colin to have come to Pen in support faster at the end but i can see why he wasn't there.

I love the books but to get the whole pic you need to include Happily Ever after which includes the 2nd epilogue for each book.... It also contains a bit of Violet's love story....

I loved season 1. Season 2 was disappointing because they totally shifted to a new story and ignored season 1's storyline. I would have liked to see them tie both seasons together somehow. Season 3 was lovely. It's beautiful to see a thick sister find love. Yes, we are capable and very able to be fantastic partners!

I also felt a little bad for Cressida. While her actions weren't good, I can understand her position. As a woman with zero prospects and zero control of her own future, she must have felt so desperate to save herself. The way she did it wasn't great, but I definitely feel for her as she is shipped off to the farm.

Johns cousin is suppose to be a man called micheal sterling but they swapped the genders.. frans story is heartbreaking I don’t know how they will pull it off now they changed genders x

Won’t say to much I don’t want to spoil it but I don’t see how frans story is going to work now they’ve swapped Michael for a mikala - simply because of the plot in frans story x
