Bridges of Portland - Fleet Week with the kiddo

Күн бұрынKids enjoying watching a trio of movable bridges of varying types lifting at once to let in a group of 3 ships at rush hour. The dad geeks out too ^_^
Includes Broadway, Steel, and Burnside bridges.
We were located on the lower deck of the world's only double-action lift bridge, the Steel Bridge.

Good video of the boats ducking under the trio of movable bridges. How many were there that warranted having to open up the Steel Bridge (both levels that is) and the other two bridges?

Celestino Faginas at this time there was a line of Canadian destroyers waiting behind the Broadway bridge (a bus accident occurred on the draw span and had to be cleared) all 3 bridges opened to their full height. the next summer we got to go up in the Broadway bridge control catwalks as it went up. so much fun :)
