One my second set of AX41 tubeless on a 1200 Scrambler. Previously used 606, E07, TKC80, Tractionators and Golden Tyres on a number of ADV bikes. 21 f and 17 rear. As you said, the AX41 are brilliant on road tyres, wet or dry.. Off road they are the best of the 50/50 type tyre i have used so far. Always run them over 32/34 psi on the bigger bike. When i ran lower psi on the first set, rear wear quickened significantly. Get 8000+ klms out of a rear and 10000+ klms out of the front with a fair bitnof off road riding. Not the greatest in slick clay etc, like Bellthorpe when it is wet, but not many tyres are on a bike over 215 kg . Also, tar snakes etc do not move the front at all in the tubeless version on my bike. Never had a better handling semi knobby on the tar snakes actually. Just goes to show how different tyres are on different bikes. Great videos, well done.

I was tempted to pick up this tire but saw your first impressions and held out. I've been trying to get a TKC 80 front for my KLR 650 for 8 months due to recall and back order. I've given up and I've paired a new TKC 80 rear with a Dunlop D606 Front. I know not ideal to mix tires but I'll be 90% off road, I live 1 mile from the trail head at 9,500' in the Colorado high country. You seem to speak pretty highly of the D606's so I'm going to give them a try. Thanks for the videos, you have the best KLR content and really put the old pig through it's paces!
@onthebackwheel

Nothing wrong with mixing tyres. In my experience the 606 front isn't great, the rear is fantastic. The Pirelli MT21 front is a great match for the 606 rear. Let me know what you think of your current set up, no doubt it will be wayyyy better than stock

Hi, Thank you for honest review, it is rare trust me (think if RevZilla or something dare to say anything like this about Bridgestone, they will not get Bridgestones for review anymore -and they will not going to sell very well after that ). Here in Finland the snow is melting fast and I'm going to put my first true 50/50 off-road capable tires to my V85 TT. They are Kenda Big Block. I don't know if they sell them in Australia, but they dirt cheap. And I mean dirt cheap. Everything here is way more expensive, but those costs under 200€ combined (front 79€, back 109€). I think the conversion rate is like equal, because everything here just costs more. Or this retailer get them very cheap? I suggest you to check, if you want 50/50 tire which also lasts some time. I think the official name is Kenda 784 Big Block.

I got a set of craigslist almost new for 25$ i live in eastern Utah and have a 97 Honda Xr 600R i needed a rear tire so this was a cheap solution. Fortunately I'm in a county that you can ride motocross bikes on the road as well as quads and side x sides. We have hundreds of miles of oil well service roads plus lots of single track. I swapped the front back to a Dunlap full moto knob. I will probably get a re a dinlap knob as well. Thanks great explanation. I do door dash on the roads so the 25$ set were well worth it. BRRAAPPP!

That’s interesting! I’m currently running these tires on my AfricaTwin. Already got 3500 miles out of it (700 miles off-road) and will give them another 500 miles on road before I will change them. Just yesterday they took me through deep sand without any problems. Definitely the best tires I’ve had so far. But the mileage is not good enough for me as a long term traveller. 😅 There are no bad tires, just tires who fits you and your style of riding or not! 😉 Still a nice review!

I got 2900 miles out of the stock rear dunlop K750 (could have easily pushed it to 3000) and the stock front still looks almost new at 2900 miles. I weigh around 215 pounds and I run the rear at 33psi and the front at 27psi. Here in the U.S. I can score a K750 rear for $71 shipped from rocky mountain ATV. I do probably 90 percent of my riding on paved roads exploring or commuting/running errands. For my money, $71 to get 2900 miles out of a rear and at least twice that from a front (costs about the same) I'm good with them. Just had a new K750 put on the rear today.

Wow, surprising. I ran through a set of AX41's on my ktm 390 adv and a thought they are FANTASTIC on both road and trail. The rear does wear fast, that's the only drawback. I'm trying the Motoz Adventure's now for comparison.

@bacbladerunner

@onthebackwheel And the Motoz Tractionator Adventures may be both. They certainly wear longer, and they are also knobbier. I wore my AX41 rear out on the NMBDR and road riding. I think I had 3,000+ miles on it. Still had maybe 40% tread remaining, but I wanted fresh rubber. The front was fine. I only have 100 miles each of dirt & road on the Motoz. So far, I'm very happy with them, although I suspect they are slightly better in dirt and slightly worse on road, than the AX41. I want to maximize offroad performance.

Below average in the dirt. Back to the drawing board Bridgestone. In thinking back, I’ve run one set of Bridgestone Battle-ax tires on my ZZR1200 and they were pretty horrible as I remember. They’d slide terribly on tar snakes, and gave me no confidence cornering.

Crazy. This is the 3rd review about this tire, and all 3 are totally different. Kyle Bradshaw loves them, "best Off Road tire" but hates the wear (therefore he recommends MotOZ) a German guy claims they are "long lasting, great wear" but average on and off road. And you say they suck off road but are awesome on road. Hmmm not sure what to do...

I stand by my review with the 130 rear, not worth your time or money. Hearing better reviews for the bigger rear, which I believe Bradshaw used and a few other who've commented.
