Brief history of Chinese medicine

In this talk to the Hampstead chapter of U3A, Tess present a short history of Chinese medicine, from China's mythological beginnings to its spread worldwide in the past 50 years. With particular focus on the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, compiled 2,500 years ago and contains principles that are still used in clinic today to treat modern diseases. Approx 36 minutes.

Glad you enjoyed it! It was such a challenge to compress 2,500 years of history to an hour-long presentation. But I hope it’s piqued people’s interest so they can find out mor about this amazing philosophy/medical system.

Chinese Medicine is offshoot of Ayurveda and Charaka Samhita specifically!

pls go little more backward on historic time line...and learn how chinese learnt everything from bharatham/india..

@@dikshahema acupuncture was part of ayurvedham , which was known as soochivedham also it comes in ashtangayoga ....balancing the five elements ....if u r serious....in chinese history also its mentioned pls check this book The Lost Secrets of Ayurvedic Acupuncture: An Ayurvedic Guide to Acupuncture
