My great uncle served in this division, he was a part of the landing at Anzio, he was killed in July of 1944. Idk where he was killed in Italy, but hes buried at the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial over there.

My father was a WWII vet from MN, 34th Infantry Division. I have his war possessions including red bull patches and other personal effects.

my grandpa was also in the 34th during Ww2 . he passed away back in 2018.

@@julietteyork3721 not often because somtimes when he did you can see the fear in his eyes. after hearing what he saw i can understand. however he kept his unit patch and other items.

Never mentioned the 34th's stay in Northern Ireland in '42.

A very nice video! I just picked up two uniforms from a member who was a Sgt. & a medic during WW2 and his campaign ribbon as 5 Battle Stars!

The USAs 34th I.D. saw lots of action in WW2 Italy , and suffered nearly 3000 kia in the Italian cosign . The Division got a bloody nose @ Monte Casino .
