I just did 51.5 knots today with a Brig 8 that had a full tank of gas, powered by a Yamaha F350. The boat handles surprisingly well, and is the only RIB i have ever enjoyed driving. (I have driven every other boat Brig makes, except the biggest one. I am a boat mechanic.)

Is the steering very heavy? I have the Eagle 8/Suzuki 350. its a bear to steer.

I would like to take this boat but not with a 6 Zylinder , 350 horses. I would like to have a Mercury pro xs 300 , a V8 with 4,6 l cubic .did you test the zodiac boats ?? Should be running stabil as the Brigs , right??

@@chrisduc1 The boat is generally available with a 300Hp engine. I had a choice of the Suzuki DF350 or the Mercury Verado 300. My dealer said the hardest problem now is find ANY suitable outboard engine. Demand is up, and production is down. Supply chain problems.

@@alanhowlett6096 thank you for the quick response . I know about this problems . Ordering now means getting the boat next year in June , July. The question was the engine …. Your opinion about the V8 300 to the V 6 -.-? the weight difference is just 20 kg And what’s your thoughts about zodiac ?? We think about a Zodiac Medline 75 with a V8 300 horses and a brig eagle 🦅 6,7 ….with a 225 horses V6, or even a V8 / 225 horses🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

used to sail sailing dinghies ---------- at one point added a rear view mirror // often wondered why more boats dont do same --- docking was useful .... /// maybe compare five ribs under 100k ---- under 60k so on --- like the comparisons -- // and like stating the cost as seen ---- which helps amount of times gone to look at car /// by time its the same as the marketing picture its far more than the cost quoted ... well done ... //

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how I can turn that into a tender for my boat. That has a lot of great features. Of course the speed doesn't hurt either. I still cannot get over how quiet that Suzuki engine was. I don't have any experience with them and I cannot think of any of my friends that have one either.

Did it work? Also du you know by chance if they offer the Eagle 8 with SOLAS certification?
