fabulous review of these Meeden products and I never knew their paper was baohong!! wow! lovely illustration too, loved the bright colours, and the paint brushes look awesome :D

Thank you! Yes, the paper is really great. I'm hoping the brushes will hold up well - they're so pretty and I enjoy using pretty things, lol.

I think it's really smart of Meeden to offer a complete watercolor painting set (paints, brushes, paper, and mixing palette), for beginners, at such an attractive price-point. Outstanding review!

I do like the meeden paper - makes sense if it's actually the baohong! I just got a set of these and poured them. They shrink massively and I'm on my third pour and they're still not full, lol. I like them though - a fine and varied sketch set I think. Nice video, loved the blue mountains

Oh wow, your third pour! My second pour hasn't dried yet so I'm not sure how much it will dry down but I suspect I'll have to do a third pour as well. Thanks, Terri!

i love that paper block and the brushes are springy snappy, love it for the right use. the colours look so nice squeezed into a palette 😆👍🏻👍🏻 and i looove that floral piece at the end there~ i can see it being the pattern of gift wrapping paper 😁❤️

It's actually a pretty great set, and it's only $29 today, lol. Creative Paula is where I got the floral idea and she said the same thing about it being good wrapping paper.

i love all my meeden sets ,i got the huge 1 liter tubs of heavy body acrylics,i got this set mine came with a two sided ceramic water basin i use it everyday,thank you good to see you again

I did consider giving my set away after reviewing them, but those brushes are so pretty I’m struggling to let them go, lol! I enjoyed your review and painting. 😊 My next video is related to your second painting, funnily enough!

This was fun! I reviewed these as well and didn’t have any problems. A lot of artists seem to end up getting streaks. I didn’t…have you used them more? I’m not seeing streaking in your 2 paintings here. The paper is great & I use it regularly. The brushes! I’ve had a few loose ferrules but I tend to-glued them k now they are fine. I really like that brush set with gouache! Thanks, Miranda! Always nice to see your take on things. Good luck in your permanent no-buy!😮❤

I didn't have any streaking. I am going to use them again, hopefully sooner rather than later, because there are more techniques I want to try. I'll most likely show that on my channel again, too.

Hi Miranda, i saw meeden products on temu. The good stuff was way more expensive than the not as good stuff. I apologize for responding late on your videos. My brain is mush lately. Your flower picture looks like it could grace a notebook, or planner. I really did like it. I love how you started off with your scenery painting starting to do one thing and talking your way through as you end up doing something else. It is a beautiful painting.

Thanks for the review! Are you adding these to the light-fast testing crew? I think this would be a great gift for a beginner artist. Much better than those kits with the chalk paints

@@MirandaWatsonArt oh, good! I really enjoyed my meeden watercolors. They are so vibrant and they stay vibrant when they're dry. They do have pigment information but it'd be good to see a test.

Painting from the tubes is a better experience for Meeden paints.

Hi good to see you! I wonder how the colors mix? Do they give pigment numbers? How long did you dry them before using (sometimes you dig holes when they're not fully dry...?) 8 days after posting, the price is $29.

Yes, they do have pigment information. On Amazon under the customer reviews somebody posted a photo of the back of the box that has the pigments on them. I haven't done anything extensive with mixing (yet) but what I have done was just fine. They're good clean vibrant watercolors. ❤

Wondered just this past weekend if you gotten this set from Meeden. Want the brushes "cuz they're so darn pretty. Glad you liked the paper. Is it as textured as the Baohong? Holbein Shell Pink $6 for a 15 mil tube. Full pan or 1/2 pan?

I was happy they offered. Yes, the paper is pretty textured. The brushes are really pretty. Wow, good deal on the Shell Pink. I think you should go for a full pan - easier to put your brush in it.

@@NanaBeth1 oh, for me? Lol, oops. Whichever is easiest for you. I saw Denise's new video, but I haven't watched it yet since it's so long. But my permanent no-buy went into effect April 15th, sadly, so I'm probably safe to watch it eventually.
