Fabric Fondlers Anonymous Club. Lifetime member here. To test your level: (1) Do you get excited watching someone else fondle fabric? (2) Do you have an uncontrollable desire to fondle your fabric while watching this video? (3) Did you go to blueprint to look at kits while watching this video? (4) Do you have fabric in your stash that you now say "what was I going to make with this fabric"? (5) Do you fondle fabric in your existing quilts? (6) Do you have anxiety attacks making that first cut on your fabric. Like saying good bye to a friend. If yes to all, you are a bonafide member of FFAC. You worked hard to achieve this level of utopia. As a reward you have the authority to buy more fabric

I love everything about this quilt, except the price! I wouldn't buy it anyway because I've been quilting for many years and already have everything I really need. A nice starter kit would be great to get a new quilter started, except who's gonna spend $175 to start a hobby you don't know you would want to keep doing. But I will always love you Angela. I just hate that your videos seem like ads for blueprint.

But Terri is correct. A Newbie to quilting may not enjoy quilting. I too would have a difficult time spending this much. I Love, love love Angela and her videos. But Blueprint is beginning to choke the fun out of it.

Price prohibitive, especially for anyone on fixed income. Great starter kit because it does have everything needed. Not for anyone who has been quilting LOL Really wouldn't need more of what we have too much of. I DO love that fabric !!!! Oh those strawberries! I usually collect tiny bit at a time...more precuts now that vision is almost gone....then make something with my bits. It would be a dream to afford enough to make a quilt in one purchase.

I got into quilting to replace garment sewing for my daughter. Now it’s become my legacy. I appreciate you for the process and what’s fun about doing a project. I stopped obsessing about perfection, began to relax and got better projects for it. Of course the wine helped 🤪. Thanks again

Always enjoy The Midnight Quilt Show. i love this all-over quilting pattern! I knit and crochet too. But I agree with others that, since Craftsy became Bluprint, The Midnight Quilt Show is becoming too much of an ad for them. please Bluprint, can you return to the more subtle approach taken by Craftsy!

I have mainly given up watching this channel because as you all said, it has turned into an ad for Blueprint. I hate tutorials where they are constantly pushing a person to buy stuff. I like to just sit and enjoy the process of making things and then go and try my hand at making them.

ROFL @ quilt in a box! Probably the most PG version of that I've ever heard! 😂 I actually only recently started quilting. About 3 years ago, my sister-in-law was having my nephew, and the quilt she had on her registry went out of stock, and out of production before anyone had a chance to get it for her, so I made her one using a jelly roll, and a "short cut" pattern from Fat Quarter Shop. I've been a crocheter or hooker 😉 for 20+ years, and a knitter for 10ish. I even did cross stitch as a kid, and recently picked it back up.

Agree with those who miss Craftsy, because I pink-puffy-heart loved supporting the independent pattern designers. Now you have to join Blueprint to see them, which eats away at my pattern $$$. However, none of this is Angela's fault!

I'm not sure that that is a fair statement. Angela may have had a contract with Craftsy that didn't just disappear when Craftsy became Blueprint. I don't know exactly what happened with Craftsy but when I try to go to their dot come it takes me directly to Blueprint telling me that they are now one and the same or were taken over.

Note to Blueprint: We all love Angela - & such a mentor to all of us! I liked Craftsy much better than Blueprint! I think the cost for this start-up box is far too expensive for most new Quilters. And what about new Quilters that already have these basic tools? Do you really think Quilters will re-buy these expensive tools? Angela should remain doing her more advanced tutorials (the advanced ones that we have all been accustomed to) & Blueprint should get another person to teach Quilting to beginners. PS: we love you Angela!

Hi Angela! I started out with crocheting. 🧶 I dabbled in drawing as well then I found a need to learn to sew. I learned to sew and discovered quilting on KZfaq. I’ve dabbled in modeling chocolate figurines and just recently picked up thread painting and hand embroidery. I just wish I had gotten into quilting younger. There are so many quilts I want to make and fabric I want to flirt around with and I’m middle aged. I get bored too easily and my mind wanders. So I do a lot of negative crocheting😒 That’s why I fell in love with how forgiving quilting is❤️❤️❤️. Thanks for sharing. Your videos are always fun!

Angela, you are the reason I discovered quilting! Your video rolled over from another craft type show into my youtube feed last summer. I almost changed it when I saw the glass of wine and bowl of M&M's, your personality sealed the deal. Quilting is fascinating and not the "old lady" craft I thought it to be. I have been forever transformed! I spent the rest of 2018 watching your videos in complete mesmerization. A whole new world was opened up to me. I love your goats! I love your realness. I purchased my first sewing machine in April of this year. While I love the format of the earlier videos I was so happy to see this video from you. Christina's tutorial is very comprehensive.I have the box but I was intimated by all the cutting I needed to do as I am measuring challenged, so I decided to sharpen my piecing and measuring skills on precuts. I have to say you and Jenny of MSQC are my source of inspiration. I know others have commented on the cost of this box however I am fairly sure I did not pay the price that everyone else is referencing, as I chose the blue print membership and received the box as a "gift". Whatever I paid it is quite worth the knowledge and other crafts and shows I can access and watch on my timeline. So thank you about reminding me about this quilt. It is pretty and now that I have pieced together Tranquil Triangles from MSQC. this friendship quilt from Blueprint should be a breeze! I have also purchased the Rising Star quilt I saw you demonstrate. Blueprint frequently sends emails notifying me of discounts. I was able to get that quilt kit for less than $100 and I received it in 2 days.

@@MrsFlax-iu3roit's pretty fun! I bought some graph paper and use a good mechanical pencil and good eraser. I can spend an evening happily recreating a pattern or creating one of my own. Since the paper is 1/4" squares, I decide what size my blocks will be, then within the block I draw the pieces I want. That helps me know how much of which fabric I'll need. I also bought some colored pencils so I can figure out which colors look good, then I go to my stash and pull out what I need. Anyway, I hope you give it a try!

I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years and recently have been making red berets. I love the loopy lines design and have used that a few times, especially with quilts that are boxy or pointy, and no I don’t mean Quilty Box. Leah Day suggests quilting in rows, which is what I do. I start at the center and go to the border on the right or do the border as well, and then back to the middle. That way, there is never more than half the width of the quilt in the throat of the machine. I tend to vary the height of the rows so it blends better, but really, who notices but avid quilters? I also love when you say “close enough” because half square triangles are a challenge to get all points at the point on the block. I notice them very easily, and quilters will, too- but most people don’t. I don’t like Jack unless I feel it’s just that bad.

I think you are an excellent teacher, and very entertaining. I have to agree with many others that I got much more benefit from Craftsy than I get from Bluprint. The cost is a huge factor. But as long as you keep putting the videos out there, I will keep watching.

I like crocheting as well, but lately my new tangent is cross stitching! Thanks for being so entertaining and just your real self!

Great fun video. Thank you. I like to knit. I can crochet but not as well as knitting.

Fun! I had to rewind and rewatch 3 times to determine if it was you or your daughter holding the quilt! She looks just like you! The crochet projects turned out beautiful as well!

I love crochet. Inherited my MILs stash and barely made a dint in it. Made close to 20 blankets in the last three years.
