@James Sunderland well I'm just a dumb guy, haven't really get a job yet (still in college) so I really don't know what to say but maybe cause when you're grown up and... you know? got a lot of things to do, raise a kid, working and all that stuff, I guess It can be a bit tedious and boring when playing video games. for me I've still have a lot of love for video games (maybe cause I'm still not working idk) I always love to driving and listen to radio in Vice City, kicking and peeing on people in Postal 2, throwing plant at zombies in Dead Rising 1, etc. It's always manage to make me entertain when I'm feeling sad, down, depressed, all that life stuff. I would say that if you wanna enjoy a games, maybe just slowly start by finding the games you like and maybe looking around, finding fun with your own way in that game, and keep on going with other games. as I say I'm just a dumb college guy but yeah, that's all I have to say. (btw hope you're having a great day James!)
@Ckoz28292 жыл бұрын
@James Sunderland That’s because they don’t make games like Max Payne, Half Life, or KOTOR anymore. The video game business landscape has changed for the worse. We’re expected to pay $70 for half finished games which themselves are just soulless grinds designed to take our money. You can’t have the same fun with games anymore because games are just not fun anymore. There’s obvious exceptions to this rule, like Doom 2016, but if you’re trying to recapture that joy, try indie games. Indie devs have the same problem as you, except they’re able to take matters into their own hands. Also try leaving Silent Hill, James. That place is no good for you.

Individual players of different skill levels will experience the game differently. So when I use the word "overpowered", what I mean is that it made the game feel easy even on the hardest difficulty (Insanity). I played through it on X360 enough times to get every single achievement, including the DLC. In terms of "power fantasy", being overpowered is mostly a good thing as you truly feel like the powerful character the narrative expects you to be. Luke Skywalker, Superman, Jason Statham is every movie he's in...

Pretty fair review. I got to play Infinite today, and honestly had a good time. A lot of caveats for sure. For example, there are invisible walls everywhere, and I even got stuck in one of these invisible walls once. For some reason the game feels more linear and contrived than the demo (meaning original Bright Memory). Ironic how this "full game" has "infinite" in its title when it's all kinds of limited. With its robust melee and gunplay system, it's a shame we don't get to see more varied environments and a longer campaign. Still, kudos to the guy who made this. I will consider buying the skin pack to further support the developer, in hope that more levels/contents get made.

@@magicjohnson3121 At some point in this decade, development and automation tools will become so cheap and easily available that the only areas where AAA can excel at will be photorealistic large-scale projects and Virtual Reality development. Graphics isn't everything, notice how both of these games are an hour to 90 mins, triple A games are usually 8-15 hours long, many have even more additional content to lengthen the time. It takes a lot of time and resources to develop models, cutscenes, environments, enemies and A.I and scripted events and when you want to do a long game with impressive battle scenes, cutscenes etc. you need a lot of people, and talented ones at that. We are getting and we will have a lot of high quality indie games coming out, but the really expansive and cinematic experiences will still be limited to big studios.

Two things you missed tho: - The sniper rifle's altfire is actually very logical, as, should you look closer, launching your enemies into the air is only possible whenever they are receiving the damage (yeah, that moment when a part of their healthbar becomes of a different color). Now with SR being a long-range weapon you want to delay that moment until you get close enough to initiate the attack, hence the delayed detonation ;) - You can chain unlimited combos, just the game requires you to both use the melee stuff and the firearms for that. The "energy bar" will replenish very fast when firing upon your enemy, so it is not that dumb, but rather forces you to shoot stuff at times instead of just spamming the sword attacks all the time, I find this a nice addition. Also, for the ranged attacks (which most enemies have) - you can just keep dodging them, there is no absolute need in blocking (the snipers are another thing tho, especially on the Hell difficulty), if anything just keep moving, and most of the enemies can be ignored as long as you want (on Hell I found the archers the least of the evils when a miniboss is around, much less of a problem compared to the shielded guys - so always preferred to focus on the miniboss itself). Luckily, there is only one particular phase of only one particular boss (minibosses do not count) when the additional enemies spawn tho ;)

Best way I can describe Infinite is: It feels like there's constantly something new and exciting during your first playthrough, so in a way, it acts as a tutorial. You beat the boss and expect the game to open up, only for it to be over. Was it disappointing to be another short game just like the first one? Yeah, I guess. But honestly, the game made me smile for the entire first run. Crazy ideas, things that make 0 sense and purely exist for the sake of player enjoyment and no crazy storyline or character relations to keep track of make this a great game to just kill 2 hours out of your day. I've beaten it on all difficulties (except the easiest one, I guess) and on the third run (Hell difficulty) I did get more and more stressed out. I tried going faster and faster and do the strongest best combos possible, but sadly going to fast tends to softlock you after encounters. Also it had to be the third run that ended up bugging out a lot. I didn't encounter anything major during my first 2 runs, but then the third one, on highest difficulty (whatever the difficulty settings actually do, idk) had to bug out :(
