Brighton Marathon 2017. This was a fabulous race. The weather was very hot which made it a tough challenge, but the support from the people of Brighton and the marshalls made a huge difference. Thank you to all.

Well done, it was an awesome day wasn't it. My Summary of Brighton Marathon (this is my first one, having started running a year ago at the age of 41): A Thoroughly enjoyable experience, The crowd were amazing, I've never eaten so many Haribo/gummy bears/jelly babies/sliced watermelon etc etc in one day!!! Lots of awesome high fives (from kids and adults alike). The run was great, lovely sunny day..lots of drink stations and run through shower points plus residents with hoses and water sprayers so it was no problem. Yes I only finished in 4hrs 44mins but I'm feeling very proud of what I've achieved after being, in the words of my PT "This guy a year ago was in terrible shape and fitness (sorry mate) but has completely turned it around!" a year ago. The whole day was incredible. I'm still buzzing from it now...just wish I'd taken my GoPro along, it wasn't until we parked up I realised it wasn't in my bag. What race are you running next? wherever it is, all the best with it

Thanks Chris. Yes was an awesome day. Next race for me is Harbour Wall Banger in Broadstairs in Kent. Only 7k but all run on sand which makes it interesting. After that next race is 6th of May for the Dirty Weekend. A 20 mile obstacle course race. That's going to be hard :-)

Excellent, I'm doing Tough Mudder Midlands....It's going to be my first OCR then after that I'm doing my deferred Muscle Acre spot from winter at the Muscle acre Summer madness ....A lot of first-time experiences happening, very exciting times ahead....it'll be interesting to hear how you get on running on sand , enjoy the Dirty weekend OCR ...all the best
