You should have gone to "Captains" for your fish & chips..delicious! It's on the seafront close to the pier. Charles Street Tap is v close to James Street which is lively, you just missed it!

Hey Stephen, Threw me for a moment, I'm a regular viewer of your Blackpool vids and now you pop up in the City I live in, Brighton! I think to portray the place more in its true-life colors you need to visit 'The Laines' and indeed 'St. James's Street' in Kemp Town, they will both show the true vibrancy and bohemian magic of the place! I actually live on the very corner of St. James's Street and my apartment overlooks The Royal Pavilion (a place that should be shown on any Brighton report) Would be great if you popped by for a cuppa the next time you are in town my friend! Please don't give up on the Blackpool reports, I love the place and am a regular visitor!

Great video Stephan! I always stay in the Old Ship Hotel when I go racing (Brighton Festival Of Racing three days) in August! I'm staying in a hotel in Regency Square at the end of August for a friends 60th! I have never stayed there before!

I've lived in Brighton for 13yrs now (I'm in Regency Square), and believe me the place is lovely! Filming on a Wednesday night, midweek in the dark isn't the best time todo a review to be honest.

Brighton is fabulous some superb pubs and eateries , just none on the sea front which is a dead loss.

I was last in Brighton about four years ago and visited the Royal Pavilion, the vibrant city centre and the Laines, which were very picturesque and interesting. Property is very expensive down there almost London prices. Sounds like your fish n chip experience was not good. There are parts of Brighton you need to be careful, it’s a very vibrant young cosmopolitan crowd and Friday / Saturday nights are a no go! Nice vlog anyway Stephen

Great video Stephen.I sometimes think I'm missing out not having been to these places.A beautiful place during the day but rowdy is rowdy be it Brighton or Blackpool at night.

The Jury’s is fascinating. It’s hollow. Half the rooms face the hollow centre where the reception is and breakfast restaurant is. It’s all roofed in but odd that you look out of your window and see reception. Used to be a Thistle hotel and originally called The Hospitality Inn.

When you went up West Street, near the top off to the right there was a chocolate cake shop that had a series on TV. You didnt go quite that far up.

In the summer of 1999, I decided that was the year I was going to live by the sea. In 1993 I came to Blackpool with my dad and at 11 years old, I was going to live in Blackpool. I was 17 and I came to Brighton, to see if I could start a new life there. I knew within 24 hours of being there, that was not the place for me. 2 weeks later, I went to Blackpool. Made a friend immediately, started work at the Pleasure beach 2 days later, and fast forward 23 years, I am still here and couldn't live anywhere else. I do like going to Portsmouth though.

Hi wow loved the video 👍 I live near Brighton I agree with some others you really need to see the laines it’s a lovely place there is lots of small shops there with nice stuff in it a bit posh some of them to expensive for me :) but it’s a nice experience with cafes and you get the Brighton vibe there :) I always know when I’m in Brighton when I see the first person with bright green or pink hair and wearing rainbow clothes!! 😅 and the thing with Brighton that’s very normal nobody takes a second look!!:) Brighton is a very open minded inclusive place very free spirited kind a thing which I like as no matter who you are or what your thing is you will fit in so I love it there 😁 but please be very careful walking around late at night I was a bit worried about you as there is often a bit of trouble going on late at night with drunk people you only have to look at them the wrong way and they will without warning start a fight I’ve had someone try and hit me and chase me down the pavement because they were drunk also my family member got beaten up for literally nothing because the other person was drunk so be careful where you go late at night it takes nothing to get into a fight there sorry about a long message I just wanted to warn you be very careful but during the day all is good 😁👍❤️ are you going to do any more videos of Brighton ? That would be great 👍

Great video of my home town, Stephen. You missed the cool clubs on the beach, but otherwise you captured 70% of the nightlife, I guess. Brighton isn't a patch on Blackpool. We have less than half of what you have. I hope to move up there one day. Love your Blackpool videos!

Great video Stephen. I’ve never been to Brighton if I am honest. So what were you camping in when you mentioned the Motorhomes at the start? That bit in Brighton was very much like middle walk in Blackpool. Keep up the good work sir.

I know what you mean about those south coast resorts, Stephen: none of them are really prom-orientated in the way that Blackpool is, despite their many piers.. Eastbourne and Worthing have a similar layout, but are much more genteel - feeling more like Lytham, or St Anne's. The only places I'd say are remotely similar are Southend, Essex, and Sandown, on the Isle of Wight. The fact is though, there's nowhere like Blackpool! Brighton has the added disadvantage of antisocial driving habits along the seafront road...

Definitely not as lively or busy like Blackpool at a weekend. Looks a nice place to visit, never been before.

Bicycles all belong to the Greens which think run Brighton, that’s why no car parking Gotta have a bike 🤣🤣

You manages to miss nearly every bar and club in Brighton that’s quite a challenge in its self

My home town (city). Nice video for someone who doesn't know Brighton. You captured quite a bit of atmosphere. The architecture is fantastic but unfortunately quite a bit is rundown. Regency Square is now quite notorious. Best avoided if alone at night. A few of the first places you looked at are gay venues. Glad you were out on a Wednesday night because you wouldn't want to be down West Street on a Friday or Saturday.

Used to live in Brighton for 7 years. Moved back to Blackpool in 97. Daughter still lives down that way now. I wasn’t impressed the last time I went out down there, about 9 years ago. Was nothing like how it was when I lived there and used to go out all the time. It’s a bit of a shit hole now apparently according to my ex lol

Some nice architecture there but the people look awful. There is also a lot of homosexual men in Brighton too. Not my cup of tea for sure.
