Some people are like that..Just let em go. If you keep on trying u'll end up being left alone all the time. Try to be friends with people who are silly ,less cool or are alone all the time. Even if they wont tell jokes or wont be cool all the time..such people will be genuine.

I actually found this true. My best friends and I always tease each other and push each other (not hard) a few of these things on this video I find can be true in different friendships (keep in mind a few not all) I find a toxic friend is someone who lies to your face if you ask how you look, and let you be honest back to them and never get offended. This can give you a false sense of security, and maybe even take away your self awareness. Just because a friend says you always look great, doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same thing. Sometimes it's good for a friend to critique you, so you can learn from your mistakes. *That's* a good friend.

One of my friends was very very toxic. They were demanding, wanted free food all the time, wanted free service from my business, got their friends to go after me when they didn’t get their way, and overall were very emotionally draining. Or maybe it’s wrong to let a person behind a voice tell you what is right and what isn’t. If someone you care about is hanging around bad people or picking up bad habits, wouldn’t it be best to intervene? What if they have food on their face? You wouldn’t tell them because it’s rude? Do you really believe everything people tell you? Of course most of this video is common sense, but those small details can leave a big impression on a weak minded individual. If you agree with everything here than you have no ability to think freely.

Nathan or maybe the differences between the two are stated quite simply, clearly, and honestly. Having food on ones face is NO where near the example used in the video. Thats a reach. This video can give most people the chance to have an open conversation with themselves and their possible toxic friend. The only concern is that impressionable people (mainly teens, probably the adjective you meant to use) not “weak” people may using this video as an excuse to disregard a misunderstood friend(though honestly, if they cause more trauma and drama in your life than necessary, then you need to cut the chord).

Ok honestly I see all these comments about how u realized some of ur friends are toxic and this is what I have to say to u: if ur friend only exhibits one or possibly two of these qualities, then don't start something. I'm not sure what this video was meant to do, but I feel like it may send a message of idealism in friends that honestly nobody can live up to. These aren't friends that u described, they are yes men/women. Ur friend will do what's best for u, even if it means not being very nice. They want the best for you, and it'll be easy to tell these friends from the jealous buttwipes who insult everything u do. I have a HUGE temper, but my friends accept me because I'm working on it and they have flaws too. Nobody is perfect, and though if ur friend has a lot of these qualities u should just stop and think, the idealistic and yes-man/woman image portrayed in this video isn't very realistic. I promise you, I'm not hating. I personally think that this video will help people.... but I really don't like the image that they're painting of a good friend.

bunxi boy as I said, this list is accurate if they do a lot of these things. U should, first, confront ur friend and ask them why they're treating u like this. However, this sends an (I've used this word so u can probably guess what it is) idealistic message that there is such thing as friend who won't lose their temper, will be okay with all your other friends, and will always agree with u. Nobody's like this! Reconsider ur friendship ONLY IF ur friend does a lot of these things. Plz don't think I'm trying to act like I know more than u do, I honestly just want to make sure nobody throws away their friends because of a video.

A friend I’ve known for 3 years recently cut all contact with me for no explained reason. Looking back, the person was pretty toxic and I’m glad that their negative energy is not in my life anymore. There’s a plan for all of us in this big universe, mine was beyond that obstacle in my road to success. Although it’s a bit disheartening as he is the only other foreign kid at my school. If he doesn’t want to talk about it I at least hope he realizes what he lost.

I have a friend who always likes to start arguements with everyone. Let's call her F. One day, there was a kid in the lower grade who broke his neck, and nearly died. Once an actual friend of mine told F what happened, F responded with, 'XD'. We told her, 'Hey, that isn't really funny. You wouldn't be laughing if it were you in the hospital.' She got all offended, and said, 'Well, it's your fault because you're judging me. I'm not a bully like all of you.' Using logic, I said, 'If we were bullies, I'm pretty sure we'd be laughing, along with you.' F ended up putting the blame on me. She is very manipulative. :(

I feel like real friends are a mix of both. Everyone gets a bit jealous sometimes and stuff but good friends are there for you if you need them. They'll usually tease you too, but friendly. Things like that. If I had a good friend that had all the qualities in the video for the good friend I'd probably be annoyed and think they're being fake

My good friend concept is someone who is honest with me. Someone who is open to me about their weaknesses and imperfections, and is also willing to say what I don't like to hear. Obviously hardly anybody would be close to 100% on this, but any degree of this reassures me they value me for me, rather than for serving some emotional or other need.

I wish i had a good friend, but nobody did ever care about me in my childhood... I always had to go to them and follow them to get my attention. When i was sitting in my classroom or in the schoolyard in the freetime no one would ever come over to me and i was sitting there because i was tierd of the people i called "friends" ignoring me like i didn't even exist.

Never too late to make a good friend ive heard, and i belive it. But if you pass 30 years i think its a bit harder when people are having their own kids and providing their families.
